Welcome to Saturday!!

Good chilly Saturday AM all!

How was your Friday?  What's on the books for Saturday and Sunday?

Friday was good for me...but busy!  I took the day off from work but I think I did more than I would have if I were actually at work!  I had a ton of errands and to do list items to get done (and I made it thru all of them!) and then just vegged and watched a bit of tv before crashing at 10.

Today is wor****il 1 and then hopefully a small road trip to Hampton Roads for the Panera meet.  If I can make it, I will be late...but hopefully not too bad!  All depends on traffic!  After that I would like to walk around Busch Gardens if the weather holds and if not then I will just walk around Williamsburg.  I really don't have money to be spending but I do love to window shop!

Tomorrow holds no huge plans.  Church in the morning and visiting a friend in the evening.  I have to go and pick up returns and get the billing info straight for Monday morning and I need to get some cleaning and laundry done.  I know I seem to do that everyday...but it never ends!  I would like to have some time to relax and watch a movie in the PM, but we will see.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and get everything ac complished that you want to!

Enjoy this beautiful, crisp fall weather. I know I heart it and plan to enjoy every minute of it!

Good morning! It sure is chilly but I think I love it. Just wish Mother Nature would make up her mind! Never know when I can pack up the summer'ish clothes.

Today, Cameron's ball game was cancelled because of all the rain yesterday. Not sure if I should be happy or not because of it but either way... We will find something to do. I only have 1 more week before I go back to school so I want to make the best of it. Seeing that Halloween is like less than 2 weeks away, I could or probably should decorate the yard. And like you, I ALWAYS have laundry and cleaning to do.

Been a bit blah the last couple weeks about certain things but with my appointment last week with the endocrinologist, things did start getting better. I'm going to see a new nutritionist on Tuesday. I am excited to hear of her plans and ideas but have to remember to be diligent with my food diary so she will have an accurate account of what I do and do not do.

BTW? When are you finding out what you are having? Not really sure how far along you are so not sure if it's time yet? Just curious!? Hope things are going smoothly for ya & take it easy sometime, remember, you have to rest for 2!! LOL! Have a great weekend, and I hope everyone else does too!

Good morning!  I am loving this chilly weather.  I heart fall and all that comes with it.  I have packed up most of the summer clothes...I kept two outfits out for each of us for summer weather and packed the rest up!  As often as I do laundry we don't need any more than that in our dressers!

We are never home for halloween so we don't decorate the yard, plus Kara is older now.  My sister loves to decorate so we decorate at her house, which is right next door.  We did that three weeks ago.

Good idea on keeping the food diary.  I still keep one now and look back on it weekly to see what, if any changes I need to make.  Hope your appointment goes well.

Steve and I will hopefully find out next month at our next appointment if Frogger is a boy or a girl.  I am 15 weeks and 4 days and you usually find out at about 20 weeks, or 1/2 way!  We are still really excited and trying to get the nursery put together.  I have some things to do tomorrow, or later tonight if I get home in time so we can pick up the crib and Steve can put it together.  I will post when I know, after I tell a few folks.  I want to tell them before I post it!

Happy Saturday to you too..

Yesterday I enjoyed cleaning my house and getting some errands done with mother in law before hubby came come. Then we went shopping together and decided to relax for the rest of the nigh****ching movies together. I watched them as hubby slept he was exhausted from work.

Now I am sitting here on computer and watching a movie while I continue to recoop from last nights dumping episode that lasted till 10am. I'm planning on going to my nieces football game (she's a cheerleader) at 2pm and then over my parents house for a visit. My girls are sleeping over at my sisters tonight so maybe it will be early to bed.

Sunday I have no plans so far will have to see what hubby and girls want to do.

Hope you all have a great weekend and bundle up it's cold out there!!

Melanie,

Relaxing is a good thing at this point!  What did you dump on?  Are you eating foods already?  I was on protein shakes for two weeks and nothing else!  I plan on having a great weekend!  I will be bundling up though.  I need some "me" time and I think I am going to get it!  Hope you have a great weekend, too!  Enjoy your visit and the game.  Make sure to stay hyrdated and bundled up yourself!

Hey Tammy

I will definately bundle up I don't like the cold and if it gets too cold this winter I might just pack up this spring and head to Georgia. We have been planning to move there for 4 yrs now and just never really put things in motion.

I keep dumping on broth and protein shakes. I'm having trouble getting in 40g protein and then it feels lke a waste cause I dump right back on it.

Hi Tam,
I love to window shop, also. Walking around Williamsburg sounds nice. Looking forward to being able to walk with out the pain and stiffness from bad knees.
The weekend will be filled with exercises to strengthen the mucles and to keep the new knee moving. Also have a book that I would like to start and make some cards to send to family.
Loving the cool weather...wearing sweatshirts and sweats. My kitty likes to cuddle up more.
  Have a great weekend.

Enjoy the day/weekend and get to that book!  That is one of my fav things to do...curl up in front of the fire place and read!

You will be window shopping before you know it.  I am looking forward to it...but not sure if I will be leaving work on time or not!  I will know soon.

Keep up with those exercises and let me know how the book is.  Cuddle with your kitty kat and enjoy!

Now that you have had surgery you will find yourself staying cold a lot, and from what I hear...it does not matter what climate you are in!  As our bodies lose the insulation (fat) we tend to freeze a lot of the time.  I keep a sweatshirt with me at all times...even July and August!

You may need to change to a ready to drink shake or soy milk. Call your surgeons office andc ask.  You can also get some Unjury (see Irene from the St. Mary's support group...her office is in Richmond Surgical Group) and she can sell you some.  You can mix that with jello or pudding to help.  You may also be drinking too fast.  That has been known to cause dumping feelings.  Call me if you need anything!

Thanks Tammy for the input on plastics. I guess I will just wait and see how things go. I Hope you can make it down for the Hampton get together today. I am anxious to meet ya. You are right when it comes to being cold since we loss our insulation of fat. I use to be able to take the cold wintrery weather since I am orginally from Pa. but now I am so cold, even in 80 degree weather. Have a good one and hope to see ya soon.
