Anyone familar with Dr Halmi

Just wondering if anyone has used Dr Halmi and if so..............what did you think of his bedside manner?

There are a number of people on this site who used Dr. Halmi, and I personally know of at least one or two. They absolutely loved him.

Drs. Halmi & Tran did my RNY on 3/25/08. They are both fabulous surgeons, and very caring (i ended up in the hospital a week later due to pneumonia (not their fault at all). Dr. Tran may be a "warmer" person, but they both want whats best for you and are absolutely fabulous! feel free to PM me if you have any other questions. lys b

If you are considering Dr Halmi, use him only at Fair Oaks Hospital. This will also give you the best anesisists and best care.

I love love love Dr Halmi!! He is a little reserved at first but a really nice and funny guy when you get to know him and an excellent surgeon. He really cares about his patients........ his whole office does - you won't go wrong with him!

I had Dr Halmi for my gall bladder surgery years ago and Both Dr Halmi and Tran for me RNY back in June. I love this group. Ihad my surgery at Potmomac hospital and had the best care. Their staff is very supportive and I am happy with my overall care.

Dr Halmi and Dr Tran did my lap-band surgery last year. I think that they are both WONDERFUL and I highly recommend them. I feel very comfortable talking to both of them and their support staff is the BEST!!!!

Ditto to what has already been posted. Dr Halmi is really good, a bit reserved initially, but the best. Dr Tran is also great, very warm and excellent surgeon. Their staff is also of the utmost caliber. Potomac Hospital was terrific, very accommodating, helpful and compassionate for larger sized patients. I have absolutely nothing but positive remarks to say about my entire process with them since I became a patient in January 2007.
