about CPT codes

Just wondering if anyone knows about specific CPT codes that need to be coded to get a revision approved by insurance.

First of all thanks for your help. Basically what I need to do is find out what isthe best possible code to use to be able to get a revision to a DS approved or find out how my MD should code it . Basically my RNY has failed and my insurance, which is Southern Health, says they only pay for a Lapband or RNY. I major problem I am having right now is that I have went from 317 to 183 and now currently at 271 with the most ungodly reflux you can imagine. My BP has slowly started climbing as well and I am sleeping on three pillows when I do sleep. Prilosec twice a day doesn't even work. Jut let me know what you find out and I will be extremely grateful.

I have made a copy of this and will run it by my instructor this week and get back with you.

I did , Im just getting home from that class, this is not a coding queation she says what needs to be done is your DR or surgeon is going to have to go to the board or write them the medical reasons why the RNY and or the Lap band will not work for you and your condition at this point and the DS will, he will have to argue these points alone w/ sending all your medical records and problems to them now he will have to be willing to fight this battle for you she said. But if the insurance company dosent  pay for this procedure there may not be any changing there mind Good Luck. You may also see if there is a rider you can purchase if the later is the issue.
