Richmond Surgical Group Pal
Okay ya'll....I'm gonna take this a step further....I've been recently approved for WLS, and I wanna get the most out of this, therefore I'm looking to get involved in some of the support groups. If you went thru RSG, and attend the support groups, and wouldnt mind me hanging w/ ya let me know...would love to make new friends thru this journey! Thanks so much...and good luck to you all....

Hey Brandy! I, like Tammy, am a Commonwealth Surgeons, but as she said, the support group at St Mary's is for both our groups. We have support group meetings each Thursday of the month, but it's a different group meeting. The 2nd Tuesday of the month is the "Forever Thin" group, which is the one I love! If you want the listings of the groups and what they are for, just PM me and let me know. Hope you find what you need and want!

I went through RSG as well. I had my surgery at Henrico Doctor's (Parham) with Dr. Elliot. I attend the support group meetings there the first Thursday of every month at 6:00. I think pretty much everyone there is a patient of Dr. Elliot's, but it's open to everyone. It's a lot smaller than the group at St. Mary's (from what I've heard) - maybe 20-30 people usually? Anyway, if you're interested I'd love to meet up with you there, although the next one is some time away. Just PM me or email me at [email protected]
