Daily Inspiration - Schedule nothing
Schedule nothing.
After WLS, a person's energy level often goes up quite a bit. It's a joy to have the energy and ability to do all the things you've wanted to do for years, but were unable to. Just because you can now, though, doesn't mean you have to. When you get going too fast, important self-care habits get skipped, and your WLS recovery suffers.
So, schedule some time to do nothing. Stay in your jammies all day and watch TV. Or, go to the library for the afternoon and read. Or, sleep in really late. Whatever your definition of "nothing" is, make time for it in your life.
Action for the day: Look at your calendar and block out time for a "nothing" morning, afternoon, or entire day as soon as you can.
