Good Morning......

Time to rise and shine.  Shake off those cobwebs and get moving.  It's going to be a GREAT day!  You're alive!

Today looks to be a great day to get moving.  Whether its dancing, walking, running or doing toning work.....just move.

So..what are YOU doing to move today???

Me?  let's see...calendar shows a spin class today.  Maybe...maybe not.  Part of me wants to hit the treadmill for a nice run, so let's see how I feel when I get off from work.

Just walking for me today.  I am thinking about adding in some stationary bike time but will have to see how my knees feel!

WE are doing great!  Got in a fabulous walk thais AM, too, and will be taking one this evening as well.  Really enjoying this crips fall weather!

I have been doing my elliptical after work.  I did two miles in 18 minutes last week and upped it to 21 minutes yesterday and got in 2.3 miles.  I am excited as I am just 1 month post-op and was given the impression by the nurses, nuts and docs that it would take me much longer to get to this point.   I may do some light weights this afternoon to start toning my arms as they are starting to wiggle more.

So, when would be a good time to start ab workouts like crunches?  The doctor said I had no limitations as far as he was concerned, just to listen to my body.

I think I might go buy a bike this week.  We live right next to the W&OD bike trail and its perfect weather for riding a bike.

You're doing great.  Just rememebr to listen to your body, though, because at one month out, you will still get very tired quickly.

If the doc gave you no limitations, I would go ahead and start - just easy and slowly.  Also, you may want to start with doing them on a yoga ball if you can.  It will give you more support and may make you a bit more comfortable instead of being on the floor.

Tell me about it!  I increased to 30 minutes yesterday and got in 3.5 miles and I am so tired today.  I just want to put my head on my desk and take a nap.  I was thinking about giving myself today off, but I know one day off will lead to two and so on.  Maybe today I will give the elliptical a break and try crunches and weights, or just do a mile on the elliptical.  I do have a ball and thought that would be the best place to start too.

My husband is going out of town tonight for work and I know I won't sleep well at least tonight, although, I am so tired I may not care about that strange noise downstairs!!!

Morning beautiful just got back from the gym althrough I can only do the bike for the next 2 weeks. Some how I got a compressed fracture in my right foot and cannot to the treadmill so we are finding other ways for me to get the cardio in. I am going to try the elliptical tomorrow and see how that goes. I will keep up with my upper body workouts but not the lower. I feel so much better after a workout.
