Good am,

How are ya'll doing? Wonderful I hope. How was your weekend? Ours was certainly jam packed and we really enjoyed ourselves. Saturday was yard saling and we found some great deals and I'm so happy to have found things I've been looking for. Saturday pm was cleaning and laundry and such. Sunday was a nice trip to Carter Mountain Orchard in Charlottesville. We had a really neat time. The buggas enjoyed themselves as did us adults. It got really warm up there on the mountain and we were all pretty much dressed in Fall clothes. We got apple butter and some apples. We had some apple cider, enjoyed pumpkins galore, apples galore, saw some yummy grapes and took a hayride. Next weekend they are having the 2nd weekend of the Apple Harvest Festival there. I encourage anyone to try and go if you are into nature, apples, apple cider, fun and lots of walking and visiting. Take your cameras. :)

What's on the books for you Monday? This is going to be a long one for us. Kayla's 4th treatment is today after school. Before then is getting some work out of the way and really working on some things here to get the ball rolling on a few projects. Hope everyone has a GREAT Monday! My thoughts & prayers are with some everyone. Hugs......

Morning, Sunshine.....

Well, I too had a blast this weekend.  I went home early on Thursday sick, and pretty much rested the day away.  Went to the gym for a quick work out, but that was about it.  Friday, I was off from work (much deserved) and went and did a kickboxing class.  It kicked my rear that's for sure - haha.  Did some shopping - got a few new fall things for work.

But, Saturday was the best.  Got up and did a quick work out then hubby and I headed for Nags Head on the bikes.  It was AWESOME!  The weather was PERFECT for the ride down and back.  it was nice just spending time together.  With his work schedule this summer, we really had not had the time to do that.

Yesterday, i woke up with a massive sinus headache, so I stayed in, got things cleaned up and just bummed around.  It was GREAT!  Dakota and I just layed around (he had an upset tummy) and looked like 2 speed bumps - haha.

So, what's up for today?  Well, a busy day here at work.  Then the gym right after.  I want to take a new class (new to me) called Hip Hop Hustle.  It's kind of a dance class, but suppose to really work you.  You know, sometimes I miss the dance classes, but with everything that happened I'm STILL glad that I made the decision that I did.

Enjoy your day!

Morning Beautiful!!!  Hope you enjoyed your break last week and the "me" time.  Sounds like you had a marvelous  weekend.

Busy weekend here.  Friday night we hit the football game with the girlies.  Saturday was up early to head to the soccer fields for team pictures then off to a different field for the game.  After that it was to BFE to drop the youngest at a party and then the oldest & I headed to my dad's for a backyard campout, hubby picked up the youngest on his way out so we could all be there.  We set up the tent, had some great family time with my dad & stepmom.  Sunday we enjoyed more family time as we all got together to celebrate my stepmom's bday.  After coming home last night it was homework, showers, laundry & getting ready for another work/school week.  Not too sure what the plan is for tonight.  Hopefully I will feel like hitting the gym, then probably just dinner & relaxing at home.

Have a great one!!!  Love you much!!!!

Good morning, sunshine!  Welcome back!

Friday evening was jam packed for me AGAIN!  I met seven folks from Craigslist and got some awesome bargains.  One of them was picking up some pieces to something that she forgot to give me the first time I saw her!  For "my troubles" she gave me a bunch of other things, too!  After that it was home to bed cause I thought I was goinfg to have to work with Steve but he gave me the night off!  I needed it and slept as much as I could.  I had a time of about 2.5-3 hours in there that I just could not sleep so I got up and did some laundry!

Saturday was an early day for me and the yard saling was fabulous!  We found some great things and some strange things, too.  I am glad we found what we needed.  I, for once, managed to not spend too much!  I did have to talk myself out of buying a few things, but it was worth it.  Saturday evening was chocked full of shopping for groceries, convos and good times.  Steve and my dad went to Buckingham to try out my dad's new four wheeler.  I told him I was going to make it mine!  He said OK...but I will let him call it his.  LOL

Sunday I got another surprise when Steve let me have ANOTHER night of!  I really got spoiled this weekend!  I got up really early and took a walk in the beautiful crisp morning air and then came home and packed the coolers for a well anticipated trip to the mountains to the apple orchard.  It was a really quick drive up there and we had such a good time.  My dad is still talking about it and really wants to go back at some point.  The festival was nice and the hayride was fun...albeit a bit on the bumpy side!  The cider RAWKED!  I have never liked it before...but this was the first time I  had it cold.  I wanted to buy a gallon to go home but I knew better.  I would drink the entire thing!

On the books for today is much of the usual...billing!  I got a late start this morning waiting on Steve to get home.  And one of my regular vendors is on vacation so it too me 45 minutes to get checked out where it usually takes me about 10!  Needless to say, I only got 1/2 done of what I normally do in the mornings so tonight will be a rough road.  Other than that...no big plans.  I am hoping to get to bed by 10 and really get some rest.

I have you all, especially Kayla, in my prayers today.  You know where to find me if you need me.  Hopefully Nora will find something to entertain herself with while you are gone.  I know it is a time consuming thing.

Thank you for this weekend.  We all really enjoyed it!

Love you much!

Good morning ladies! Its nice to see you back Kat. What a jam packed weekend!
Friday night we took Alex on his first camping trip with Cub Scouts. (I went back home in my bed and left them there) Then up Saturday morning, went on a walk then back up to the Scouts camp ground for a full day of Boy Scout Olympics. Alex got to use a sling shot, bow and arrow and bb gun, so he was very happy. We then had a huge fire and they did skits and sang songs. Came home around 10pm and got showers and in bed.
Sunday we went to Kings Dominion. The boys had a wonderful time. I was so sick yesterday and was in every bathroom getting sick, but was worth it seeing Alex's face as he rode his first roller coaster. The Hurler. He is just 48 inches for the first time this season, so he was really happy.
Today I am going to to take it easy. I am still feeling really sick and just need some me time. I go back to see Jeanine tomorrow and see if she releases me back to work. I know I probably can't handle it, but I am dying in the house. I talked to my boss and she said don't come bac****il I am able to stay at my desk and not be getting sick. Well damn, who knows how long that will be. Just frustrated, but I know it will get better.
Have a great day ladies!

Okay, I’ll play today.

Friday night was homecoming at my high school. Normally, I wouldn’t go to these sorts of things, but I am attending all games this year because my nephew is on the football team. It was PACKED. The game was good, but there were many distractions, so I didn’t get to enjoy it like I wanted to. I saw at least one person from my class, but decided not to say anything. I love the fact that now I get to pick and choose who I want to talk to because people never recognize me. (including, sometimes, my own BROTHERS)

(my nephew is number 62 in this photo)

Once that was over, it was off to my parents’ place in the Northern Neck to visit and offer my help (I go every two weeks). My mom is still in the nursing home, but she’s hopefully making enough progress that she will be okay with minimal help at home when they release her later this month.

Saturday morning, Dad and I went to the DMV so that we could get his name off of my old car title, so that I can sell it without having him present. I don’t know how that’s going to go, I was hoping to unload it on Carmax, but I keep hearing about more and more layoffs with them, so that’s not looking too good. I guess I could always hang onto it for a while until the economy gets better.

Yesterday was mowing the grass for them, and another visit with my mom. I really do not like the nursing home. The residents there are all weird. There’s one lady who continuously yells “MAMA” and there’s another man who will come in and turn your TV off if you are not looking (and sometimes even when you are!). It was funny, my dad recently got my mom an LCD TV for her room, and had it mounted onto the wall, so the TV-turner-off guy has been confused ever since and does not come in to turn it off anymore.

After the football game (yay! Both Marshall AND the Redskins won AGAIN this weekend!) Pete and I came home and did a little relaxing before going off to bed. I had to get up early this morning to get to the DMV to register my new car, which after the hell I went through trying to get a title for the OLD car, was a complete breeze. Today is a LOT of work (the first part of the month is always very busy for me), and perhaps selling the car tonight.

Back to work!

Julie
