Your input please - Protein :)
One of the important parts of this journey is getting our protein in. Those of us post-op know that its one of the main source of nutrients especially early on in our post-op lifestyle. In order to help ourselves and one another we need to stay up to date on the latest and greatest of supplements available to us.
That being said, would you please reply here with the protein you drink, eat, etc. Please be specific and give any recipes you might have to share. Also, if you have the nutritional facts/information please include that too. Communication is key to the success of our journeys.
Thanks in advance!

Thankful for the easy, grateful for the hard & hopeful for tomorrow.
I have been a long time fan of AchievOne protein drinks. Due to the cost and availability I've been on the hunt for something I can stand the taste of and enjoy at lower cost. Now, I rather enjoy EASAdvantEDGE Carb Control RTD (ready to drink).

Is the Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Protein liquid or powder?
What is the cost associated with it?
What other flavors are there?
Thanks for replying! I hope you get some extra ideas from this.

Its a powder.
Comes in double rich chocolate, chocolate, cookies & cream, vanilla, mint chocolate, rocky road, strawberry, strawberry & banana, banana cream and tropical punch.
It is currently on sale. The 5 lb tub is $37.99 (normally $74.99) and the 2 lb tub is 19.99 (normally $35.99) and they are buy 1 get one 50% off. I don't know if that applies to the sale prices or not, I guess I will be running by this afternoon to see since I am almost out.
Now, I have not seen all the above flavors at my vitamin shoppe, but they do have a good selection. I can't eat bananas, not a surgery thing, just a don't like them thing, so I will avoid those flavors. I am learning that the more "complex" the flavor the less likely I am to like it. But I might try the chocolate mint and the vanilla.
I am still in the experimenting phase on protein drinks, so I am trying not to buy the big tubs, so I didn't realize how expensive they were.
My other problem at the moment is that I am still pretty early post-op and am not allowed to add anything to my protein drink with the exception of SF syrups. So fruit and pb are out for me right now. But I have started ordering syrups and hope that will jazz things up a bit.
Thanks!!!!!
