Eating out tonight with friends-Red Robin-any suggestions?

Hey guys,
I am eating out tonight with friends at Red Robin.  Any suggestions?  I am 2 months out and still occasionally have trouble with meat.  But I have not tried hamburger yet.  Not sure whether to give it a go or not.

Check out their website. i know they have their menu posted. I haven't been there in awhile, but I think they have chili or soup. The only time I went there I had a regular burger on a lettuce roll, with a salad. I still ended up with allot of leftovers and brought them home. They also have a Veggie burger that you could have the same way I had the regular burger.

red robin has a turkey burger...you can order the kids one way cheaper!! It's really yummy!! and you can get fruit as a side instead of fries! The veggie burger is quite yummy, if I remember it's a gardenburger brand, it has mushrooms, barley etc in it.  They do have like a stirfry thing that is pretty good too!

Thanks for your reply.  I don't think I've ever had a turkey burger.  Do they taste anything like a real hamburger?

I HATE this place!  Used to love it preop but get sick every time I go there now.  For what they serve and you being only two months post op I would recommend soup or chili.  If you get the chili...you may want to get it "plain" (ie: without the pico and other crunchy things on top).  Good luck!  Let us know what you get.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of...don't want to spend the night in misery.

I usually get a cup of soup when ever I go out to dinner. At 2 months post op I couldnt even eat a whole cup of soup.. only a few bites of it. Go and enjoy.. and have fun!

I'll second Tam on this one. I have only been there once, about 1.5 years out, and I think I had a burger (just about all they serve, if I remember) but it really tore me up later on that night. My boyfriend (non op) also had issues with the food they have there, it screwed him up too. That, coupled with the fact that we went on a Saturday night, and it was completely overrun with pre-teens and small kids, and they all seemed to be running in a different direction at the same time has caused us not to go back. No big loss in my opinion.
