I just want to say thank you to all that have responded. I just got back from visiting my sister. She is very tired and sad. We are just taking one minute at a time. We appreciate all the prayers and support.

I am so sorry to hear of your families loss. I know that it is your sis that had the miscarrage, but it was your little niece or nephew and a miscarrage can be painful to all involved. Give your sis time to refect and heal emotionally by letting her know that you are there for her to talk to day or night. When I had my miscarrage many years ago, I needed time to be alone, to come to terms with the idea of such a loss... a loss of someone that I deely loved, but never had a chance to hold or sing to or cuddle ...etc...etc..
I will send a prayer up for her, and for you.
God bless!!!!

thank you so much. She is very quiet right now. Tomorrow we take her to the doctor to make sure that everything is ok. I think hearing from the doctor that it is official is going to be very difficult. Thanks for the support and sorry that you had a loss.

Brooke,

I have no words for you.  My sister had several miscarriages before getting pregnant at 41 and delivering a healthy baby girl at 42 just a month ago today.  God knows what he is doing.  Just be there for her.  You are doing the best you can.  We will be praying for all involved.

Dearest Brooke,
What a tough thing to deal with.  Especially a first time. Nothing but time will help get over the anticipation of a child that you never got to enjoy in the flesh beyond the time she carried it and the relationshioppshe had with the child.  But she did carry it and it had a heartbeat, it was alive and it was a living child and it is still hers.

The greatest thing I have come to understand and believe with all my heart is that God loves little children and tells us they are blessed in the Kingdom of God.

As I understand the Bible, there was war in Heaven and Satan and 1/3 of the Host of Heaven fell with Satan (Revelations).  Seems that happened before the great Gospel plan of Salvation was put into affect; creating the Earth, Adam and Eve; bodies being created and spirit placed into the body to create the living soul we know as mortal man.

We come to earth and gain experiences, good and bad.  For the bad, God even sent his Son to earth for a turn as a mortal (kinda) to gain a body, to suffer for our sins tha we have a way to be forgiven, and ultimately to die/or give up his life that he could conquer death and bring the resurrection or gift of eternal ife to each of us; a way for us to overcome mortal death and have life eternal.

As we live and gain exeperiences, we sometimes make poor choices and ned some degree of repentance or new choices to get things to a better state.  We can only have these experiences as mortals with physical bodies.  So, kinda the long and short of it,... we came to earth to gain a body, develop faith in God , and learn obediance.

Some of us live longer than others.  Some of us seem to have more trials and struggles in this life than others.  Some of us have more or less intelligence or physical capabilities than others.

Why is that?  Because of who we were or what we chose as spirits before we came to this earth life? (notes the exisitence of spirits in the war in Heaven that chose to follow Satan and where expelled with him to the earth; spirits that never obtained a body if this did in fact happen before the Gospel plan was put into effect).

So point and conclusion,...intended to consider for some comfort of the death of little children, miscarriage, infant, toddler, teen or any premature death of any those so young,....
Perhaps they came to earth to get a body and were valiant enough before this life that the timne they are here is all they needed.  Perhaps they did not need as much expereince of mortality to gain the lessons those of us that linger learn, or they will gain them other ways.

Either way, they lived, they got a body, so they will (according to the grace of God) be resurrected and have eternal life.  They will be on the otherside of mortality when we arrive, and they will still be out relatives, children, sons or daughters.

That understanding helps me cope with such tragedy.  I hope it provides some comfort to you and or your sister and her family.

With much sympathy,
Joe

thank you very much for response.I will pass it along to her. We just got back from the doctors office. They did a pregnancy test and it showed a slight positive but hormone levels are going down. She was just even more upset I think to have a doctor tell her it is a miscarriage. She has to go back on Wednsday so they can draw her blood to make sure everything is happening the right way. Please keep praying for her. thanks
