I wouldnt say no energy but not enough.  It takes me forever to get started doing anything like getting dressed or even getting out of the chair.  I have walked a lil bit. I went to target today just to get out of the house.  I sat in the car for 15 mins before I even got out to go in the store.  Once I was in the store I was fine.  I walked around for about 30 mins (shopped a lil bit) then I left.  I just feel like i'm moving so slooowwwwww.....I hope this will pass.  It has been 2 weeks and a day since my emergency surgery. Suggestions are welcomed please.

Just keep trying.  Make yourself get up every hour or so & walk for a bit.  You are going to have to work to get the stamina back.  Hope you are feeling better soon!!

Please don't be so hard on yourself! You have just undergone a major surgery and your body is probably in shock. It is no wonder it is tired.... You only had surgery two weeks ago and your body is telling you it wants to rest so please let it rest... it is still  probably battling to get rid of all of the anesthesia.........

Take things easy - make sure you are getting in your protein, taking your supplements and drinking your water - and getting enough rest too!

I would not worry about it too much just yet - we all heal at different rates......

Keep us posted :-)

My suggestion is to listen to your body and rest! You just had 2 big surgeries. Anesthia can take a toll on the body. Drink plenty of fluids take short walks...heck I did 10 minute laps around the inside of my house for the first 2 weeks!

It will all come together soon and you will be full of energy.

Are you taking B12 dots? They really helped me.

I promise...this will pass. It took about a month for me to feel somewhat normal.

Take care, Penny

I'm with Jackie, it's only been two weeks since the emergency surgery.  Give yourself a bit more time.  Hang in there.  :)  For me after the bypass surgery, it was a good three months before I felt normal again.  And honestly, I still am always exhausted.  No fear though, mine has more to do with my work hours and exhaustive schedule.  :)  I think things will start picking up soon!

Take the cues your body is giving you -- the rest is so important.  The energy will come in time.  Right now you need to heal and give your body all of the TLC it needs after all it has been through.  Hang in there!  :)

Your body just went though a major overhauling and it needs time to heal. I can tell you that I felt the same way after my RNY. I thought that I should be up and back on my feet in just a few weeks! Well I was SO wrong! It took me 6 weeks before I felt like I had any energy and even then... I felt weak quickly.  Keep up the good work of trying to get out and walk.. I did the same thing, walked though stores leaning on by buggy... so give your self time and your energy will certinly come back.
Keep us posted.

Give yourself a break doll! Its a tough thing! Mentally you WANT to accomplish things but your body is like yeah sitting this one out!!!! Set smaller goals for yourself active wise. The energy will come with healing and time. Make sure you are hydrating and eating and exercising as best you can and another thing to consider is you have to give your body the time to catch up with everything so some days you will have more energy than others. :)
