Ack! I'm Stalled!
I knew it would happen, but even so I'm disappointed -
I hit my first stall this week and want to get jumpstarted - do y'all recommend going to pure protein (no carbs) or back to full liquids for a week?
Keep in mind, I have to have 102g of protein a day and I can get that with 2 isopure shakes at 300 calories each -
Any advice is welcome!

Hi Rhonda,
Consider changing up your exercise regimen as well as some foods. Also, keep in mind your body is really working hard to catch up and we all hits stalls. Its not fun and its a little disappointing but it will break and you'll be back to losing.
All best!

Rho,
Your body will start losing again when it is ready! ARe you doing all of your isopure at once? Remember, our bodies can not absorb that many protein grams at once. I personally do not count anything over 30 grams in one sitting.
Change up your exercise and cut down on the carbs but remember our bodies NEED carbs to survive. Make sure you are getting in enough water and most importantly...be patient. Your body is just taking a small break!

Life could not get any better than this!
Thank you so much for the suggestions and support ladies - I decided that going back to liquid is probably not a great idea right now, so I'll just make sure I'm following all my rules and work better at my exercise -
Tammy, I didn't know that about the protein and my Nut never said anything (she knows how high the shakes are) - I'm e-mailing her right away to get some additional information on that - I'd hate to choke down that many calories for the protein and have it be doing no good!

Hi, Rhonda: Stalls happen...I view it as our bodies taking a bit of a break to adjust to what is going on. My personal experience has been that it is during that time that measurements change. While we tend to gauge our success by the scale, we need to remember how our clothes are fitting, our state of health and our measurements all count as well. Follow your surgeon's and his/her nutritionist's instructions on what you should be consuming both as far as food and protein are concerned, get in all of your fluids and don't forget the importance of exercise...do all of that, and you should be great! Hang in there! :)
