WELCOME TO THURSDAY YA'LL!!

Good am!

How are ya'll doing? Spiffy I hope! How was your Wednesday? Ours was bummy but productive. I got quite a bit down and feel accomplished for the most part. I was able to work through some physical aches I am experiencing and I find that movement really is the key to much. I spent some time in the am watching the jungle buggas play and do more tricks then off to school for Kayla. Nora & I worked on a couple projects together. She's such a big helper. Mid day I had a nice break with her and laid down (I didn't sleep but she did) for a bit. Later pm I got note that Kayla had an "off" at school. I waited for her to break it down to me but she didn't. She was grounded for the night from activities and had to go with me everywhere and help me with things. We ventured out in the later pm after having some dinner to enjoy some time out of these four walls. Got home a bit late and caught Ghost Hunters then off to sleep. I had a kind of restless night again but managed.

What's on the books for your Thursday? I'm in major cleaning mode (again) and LOVE it!! I've gotten a lot down in each room now I just need to tie it all together. We're prepping for some repairs and painting for the better part of the weekend and I'm hoping that things come together really nicely. I hope to get in some reading but I'm not sure I can get it in. Its VERY cool and breezy and I HEART FALL! I'm celebrating 13 months sobriety today as well and I'm really inwardly stoked about that. Hope everyone has a GREAT Thursday!

Good morning, beautiful!

Wednesday was faboulous!  This weather has me feeling very bouncy.  It is one of my fav times of year.  I heart spring, too, but with that comes all the stuff i am allergic too...so fall really hits it for me as my fav.  Work went great and I was relaxing quite a bit.  My back is really aching so I have a trip scheduled at the chiro for next week.  After work, Steve, Kara and I went to Midlothian to look at some baby things I found on Craigslist.  We ended up spending $60.00 and got a changing table that I absolutely love (it is the same one I would have purchased in the store!) minus the changing pad (but that's ok cause I would have replaced that anyway!), to mega exasaucers (one for our house and one for the babysitters), an activity table and a grow with me gym.  I am very pleased with everything that we got and it was nice to have Kara with us to give her opinion.  After that I met a friend at her daughters school and grabbed a huge bag of clothes and shoes that she was giving away.  Some will fit me (for a few weeks more at least) and some will fit Kara and I will pass the rest on to someone that I know can use them and will be happy to get them.  After that it was off with some friends to get some errands done.  We were all tired but I think we had a good time anyway.  It was off to bed shortly after going home.  Spent some quality time with Steve then to sleep we went.

Today we will be even busier!  Steve has some painting to do for my mom after work and I am in mega cleaning mode, too.  I always get this way when the weather gets cooler like this.  I will start that as soon as I get home and am looking forward to it.  I would love to take a day off from work to just clean ALL DAY but I need to save my time.  I am ready to scrub the baseboards and have Steve gslap a fresh coat of paint on for me as well.  I also need to get started on cleaning out the "attic".  We have a completely finished room upstairs that we turned into the attic and now I need to turn it into a nursery so we will both be busy.

I have received several PM's and e mails and have a few folks that are in need of prayers so they are going up for sure.  I will keep saying them for as long as is needed!

Other than that...no special plans.  this is a beautiful day so ENJOY IT!

Good morning ladies!

Yesterday was pretty low-key for us around here - Andy worked late, so I played catch-up with some phone calls and staying in touch with some friends and family -

We've settled on a date for our move to Tennessee, so my next big challenge is to line up my new doctors, etc. so I can continue my care after we move.

Went to the gym on Tuesday and used the treadmill, and now my shins are killing me - makes me nervous, but if they're feeling at ALL better this afternoon, I'm headed back - I know that the exercise is important, and I'm feeling like a blob not getting in as much as I should - for me, it's so hard to go from that "couch potato" mentality to "fitness queen" -

Have to go into DC today for a going away party for my boss, so I need to find some appropriate clothes around here somewhere!

After the gym, I'll start on laundry and house cleaning - time to whip this place into shape for the realtor!

Just wanted to let you know that you may need to start off more on a day on/day off schedule at the gym.  If you are sore...don't overdo it!  You will get there.

So...when is the move?  Don't be a stranger on the VA board.  This will always be your home!

Thanks Tammy :)   I think that's what I might have to do, although I hate being so out of shape that I can't go every day - I know it will come in time

We're looking at moving the 2nd weekend in November - And I plan to stick right here, message board wise!

-hugs-

Now with demolision done, construction has started. We have no real kitchen. All the appliances are in the living room/dining room. My coffee maker...my must have...is plugged in in the living room. Hopefully today they will tile the kitchen, grout it tomorrow and be able to walk on it on Saturday. The plasterer is coming tomorrow. Not sure how that is going to work!

Work tired me out yesterday. Oh boy do those little ones have energy. The girls were making paper dolls in the cafeteria and the boys were..well being boys!

I came home to a spaghetti and meatball dinner cooked on the grill by Leo. I ate a few bites, took a shower and was asleep by 8:30. I MUSTstay awake tonight to see the Grey's Anatomy season premier! Guess I'll have an extra cuppa this afternoon!

Enjoying the rain today, even though it brings lots of arthritis pain.
Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning Kit
My Wednesday morning started off limping into the drs. office. I found out that I have gout back in my right foot again. She gave me meds. and told me go home prop it up take the meds and relax. When I arrived home I received flowers from my friends in Pa. I was totally shocked,  since I left my job at the school , where I use to work 2 years ago. But friendships last a lifetime when they are true friends.  So I  addressed  thank you cards while I was relaxing,
till my granddaugters came home from school. The two oldest girls went to ball practice and the 5 year old stayed with me, where we spent time coloring and doing some numbers and lettters, she is in kindergarten.

Today which is Thursday is another day relaxing, wrting out some thinking of you cards, and reading abit, and crossword puzzles, that is about all I can do till this gout gets out of my foot.
Of course I will have my reading the Bible and praying time. I pray tomorrow I can get up and start cleaning again.

You have a good day, and I love your post and I am so proud to hear that you are 13 months without the addiction of alchool. God is good.

Good morning ladies
I have already been very busy this morning. Got Alex to school and went to Walmart. Got my oven preheated to make cookies for the boys to decorate at Cub Scouts tonight. So I need to work on that and prepare for the meeting at 6 tonight. Going to see Alex in school today for lunch and taking him to the dr at 220 for a med check for his adhd. I think they are going to have to adjust his medication again because it does not seem to be working as well anymore. UGH! I hate that he has to depend on medicine to control himself. I pray he outgrows this. So today is jam packed with things. Tomorrow I go and see Jeanine and see if there is anything else we can do. I doubt it. She always sees me breakdown. The woman knows how to make me cry and I hate it. lol. Well let me get going

Kat congrats on the 13 months! That is so awesome

Tam- I love your new avatar. You look amazing!

I have never heard of anyone outgrowing their adhd. My daughter has that and is bipolar. Medicines can stop working after taking them for a while. It's like finding that right pair of jeans or shoes.
I hope your appt wiht Jeanine goes well tomorrow. Keeping you in my prayers.

Good Evening to all!!!
Thank goodness for cool, rainy days! I love them, in small amounts.
This morning I attended Joint Camp to all there is to know about knee replacements. There is so much to know.. similar to gastric bypass. Rehab is aggressive and the most important part of the healing process. Weight loss following wls was aggressive and, along with exercise, the most important part of the process.n
After lunch, headed to the doc's for a pre-op physical. All seemed to go well...blood was taken and also received a B-12 shot.
Came home to clean...washing curtains and clothes. Friend came over in the evening to chat. Great day!!! Cindy
