I know this has been discussed before, but can some of you that have been there and done that help me? I need to get more protein and the drinks are just not doing it. What are some good bars to get? I just bought one and it has chocolate over it. I am so afraid to try it because that brown stuff got me fat!!!! Well, that and a lot of other stuff along with no excersise! I can hardly eat any starches so I'm not sure what to look for on the label as far as carbs go. Can you please  give me a run down of don't go over this many sugars, this many fats and so on. Thanks for all your help.

I eat "Pure Protein" bars. They  only have 3 grams of sugar, but have 20 grams of protein. Most of them are chocolate covered, but they also have some "fruity" flavors like blueberry. I buy them at Wal-Mart and Krogers. Kroger carries a larger variety. My favs are marshmallow, smores, and peanut butter. I usually eat them as a meal replacement. They are too large as a snack for me.

I like the Atkins bars.  Very little sugars, good protein, I think little on the carbs too.  I prefer the chocolate chip granola.  Hope you find something that works for you.
