So yesterday was my first follow-up appointment.  Everything looks good.  I have been off pain meds since Tuesday, I was upgraded to pureed foods yesterday and told I could drive and start moving more.

So my WOW moment.  My first goal was to get below 300.  This morning I was at 296.4!!!!  I have lost 13lbs since I have been home.  I am so excited.

Thank you for all the suggestions for the pill cutter instead of the crusher.  I do have a cutter I just thought I wasn't allowed to do this, I thought I had to crush.  I do have an appointment with my pcp on Monday to check all my meds and dosages.  I have only had to take my diabetes meds once since coming home.

Thanks again for all the support!!!!  Time to update my ticker!

Hi Amanda, that is great!!!  Congratulations.  Isn't it amazing how your diabetes goes into remission so fast?  That alone was worth having the surgery to me.

Amanda  Fantastic !    Keep up the great work.

Hopefully I am right behind you.  Final visit with the Dietitian.    See Dr Mo next Wed.    Only issue is I did not tolerate the BIPAP machine.   Rest of my tests went Great.

Hopefully Dr Mo will not take take issue and I will have surgery on the 30th.

Good luck Caroline!!!  Doesn't it feel great when the tests are all done.  I didn't have any problems with my CPAP prior to surgery, it wasn't comfortable, but it was tolerable.  Unfortunately, I am losing my weight in my face first and now the mask which was a little too big is really too big.  I need to get another mask, I have to tighten it so much to stop the leaks and it hurts.  So I feel your pain.

Keep at it, before you know it the surgery will be done.  We will save space for you on the losers bench!!!!!
