what a nice time!

Tonight was my surgeon's support group night, well one of them, anyways, "Forever Thin". It was the first time I had attended this support group and admittingly, I was very nervous. But... I met 2 great girls there, Brooke & her sister, Erin. They completely rocked!!! We not only talked to each other but met some amazing, inspiring people that are about to take on the WLS journey or have already embarked on it.

We all walked away from the group with much more knowledge, about the journey as well as ourselves, than we did when we walked in. I honestly should have been there sooner and I am positive that I will return, to gain more knowledge. But I also gained what I consider to be great friends! Thanks Brooke & Erin. Can't wait to hang out again!

Sounds like a great experience!!!  I haven't been able to get to my group the last few months & I sure am missing it.

It was truly an awesome experience. So nice to be able to openly discuss without fear of persecution. I am only sorry that I haven't been before then but will DEFINITELY be going back.

Glad you enjoyed it.  The Forever Thin one is definately the best one in my opinion.

We had a ball! I haven't been to the other groups, YET, but do think that the Forever Thin group was awesome. It was about 20'ish of us there, so not too many that everyone didn't have a chance to share but just enough that everyone was able to share and benefit. I will definitely be going back and am even making plans to check out the others as well.

Well put. I had a great time and really learned alot more than I thought I would have. It was so much fun meeting you. I can't wait to do it again. Maybe this will help my fear of meeting people. lol.
