I Don't Have Enough Time

“Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.”  - H. Jackson Brown

How many times each day do we say (or think to ourselves), "I don't have enough time to do this or to do that"?  We ALL do it, day in and day out.  We don't have time to exercise, we don't have time to eat right, we don't have time to be with ourselves....we just don't have time.

The problem (as we see it) is is that as our lives become busier, we don't get any more time (IF I had more time, I could.....), and IF we could get more time, then we could take care of ourselves (by exercising, eating right, etc.).

But, let us be reminded that we have the same amount of time available to us as everyone else, and that great things can actually be done without increasing our time.

So...what will you do with your time today????

This is so right and I fall prey to it myself. I do not have time to do everything but I need to start making time.

This is so true - Before my surgery, I was a victim of the "don't have time to exercise" mindset - I work from home and I always seemed to have an important work thing that needed to be done instead of getting a workout in -

When I had my surgery, I committed myself to following all of the suggestions and rules very closely, exercise included - This week (my 4th), I've made a pledge to myself to exercise every single day, working my way up from 20 minutes to 45 minutes by the end of the week.  I use my "lunch" hour to do it, and have been making some great progress.  Today I hit 35 minutes and I feel awesome!

Thanks for posting this Jill, I think we all need a kick in the butt sometimes so we can get our priorities straight!

That's great that you are making the commitment for yourself.  And I'm really happy to see that while you cancelled your surgery, you did it for a really important reason.  often times, people jump into this surgery blindly and never make the commitment to the life style change.

My hat is off to you!
