Nice to see some familiar faces!
Hi Everyone!
I have been MIA for a long time, but am going to try to check in periodically. I am now almost 18 months post-op. Wow - where has the time gone? I am so happy that I had RNY on March 21, 2007! It has changed my health and my life in so many ways. No more high blood pressure, cholesterol, asthma, etc. I am staying at about 130-135 pounds and wearing between size 0 and size 2 and am 5'8" tall. I have a new career as a flight attendant and am flying all over the world seeing new places and meeting lots of new people. My husband and kids are (as always) very supportive and proud of me. I run about 4 miles a day most days. Some days a little more, and some days a little less. I am also still practicing yoga almost every day. While I am flying I can't go to my classes, but I have dvds that I use. The yoga helps me stay balanced and keeps the muscles toned and stretched out, which is really great after my long runs and long transoceanic flights. Thanks so much to all of you who gave me so much support when I needed it as I went through the approval process, surgery and immediate post op. To all of you who are waiting to have surgery, don't give up on getting approved. The rewards of this surgery are soooo worth !!! BUT you must do what your surgeon tells you to do and always follow the pouch rules in order to have the most success. The pouch is only a tool - the rest is up to you! Good luck to everyone!!! I have posted some recent oics if anyone is interested in taking a look.
Love ya'll.

Life could not get any better than this!
Hi Tam! I mostly lurk these days due to having limited time to pop on and keep up. Been busy busy busy with starting of school and running the resident teenagers all around to practices, work, girlfriends/boyfriends, etc. This time of year really tests my patience! I am feeling out of sorts because I am having difficulty getting workouts in and I know that is the key to getting off the last ten pounds. I do know that September and October are the busiest two months of the year, so if I can make it through those I know I can get back on track. You should stop by when you are out my way if you have time! I think I PMed you my cell so perhaps we can make it happen!
Hi There,
Thanks so much for the compliments and support! It hasn't been easy, but it has been interesting going thru this process. How is that last 12 pounds coming that you wrote about in your last blog entry? I hope you are doing well! You look fabulous! Keep up the good work! I fear the honeymoon period is over for me and now the really hard work will begin - keeping the weight off.
Take Care and Good Luck,
Robin
