Daily Inspiration - Be humbled by your gift
Be humbled by your gift.
If you have reached your goal weight and are well into the maintenance period, you may be tempted to revert to some old habits. After all, you met your goal; why not celebrate a little? Be careful. Indulging in old thinking patterns can have devastating consequences.
Always be aware that WLS demands a life-long effort that you can never abandon. Remember that you have been given a great gift through WLS, but that gift requires your constant attention. You have not been magically "fixed." The next time you start to entertain some of these old thinking patterns, cling to the gift that you have been given.
Action for the day: Write in your journal about what you feel are the greatest gifts you've received because of WLS, and reflect on ways to keep enjoying those gifts.
