Hey Amanda!
Glad to hear everything went well and that you're back home on the mend.
After my surgery absolutley EVERYTHING set my puch off, water, protein shake, pudding...I tried it all. So I just took some pain killers and kept sipping water and dealt with the pain. After about a week and a half it got better and I was able to start finding a protein that I liked and I could stomach some yogurt.
It'll get better, it just takes some time.
Congrats again!

Amanda,

I am so glad that you are home and that all went well.  I also had  some difficulties like you described early out and I did in fact have the cramping like you described. I was diagnosed by my surgeon as being lactose intolerant.  That lasted about a month and I have been on regular skim or fat free milk ever since. Please call your surgeons office.  If he is  unavailable remember he hasan on call partner.  Welcome home!

Glad you are home and doing good. That is always exciting to hear.

Could the cramps just be "gas pains"? Maybe try some gas-x strips to see if that helps.

Welcome to the losing side!!!  Glad to hear things went well.  I do remember that my first few shakes made me feel a bit yucky but after a few days it went down fine.  Just take it slow & keep an eye on it.
