hi ladies, it's melanie. the spanish girl who suffered through post-op with you. can't wait to see you all at the next support group meeting.

i'm 3 days post-op, feeling pretty good (i do have some abdominal tenderness), and i am still amazed that a sip of water and 3 crumbs stuffs me! i honestly feel reborn and i'm ready to go take on the world with a whole new outlook on life. i will write some more later - my pain meds kicked in. i love you all - mel

Glad to hear that you got through the surgery ok. It is normal to be uncomfortable for awhile. I am so glad you are so excited to start your new journey. We will be here to support you. Let us know how everything is going.

roux-n-y gastric bypass. i waited from dec 07 til sep 08. at the time it seemed like time was dragging, but now i don't even know where the time went. hang in there. time will fly quickly. i wish you all the best - melanie

Good to hear you are doing well. The tenderness is normal and will begin to subside soon. It is a strange feeling to not be hungry. Wait until you start progressing into foods and see that a tablespoon or two does you in at first - it's WILD! :)
