How are ya'll doing? Great I hope. Did everyone fair well from the rain, wind etc that Hanna brought to us? I hope there wasn't too much damage for anyone. We'll be assessing things here at the house today. My dad and I spent quite a bit of time dealing with some flooding. It appears for the most part things are well. How was your Saturday? Ours was certainly interesting and entertaining! Forts were built, storm watching was had, books were read, lots of yummy food was eaten and movies were watched. I personally enjoyed the rain. We had a late night visit with friends and enjoyed cuppas and we headed off to bed.

What's on the books for your Sunday? We're enjoying the sunshine this am and relaxing. Yesterday was quite active inside (and out) for my dad and I. I'm going to catch up on some reading and am watching a documentary on Addiction as I'm typing this. Interesting the things I'm learning it. For anyone who might be interested its on HBOS on DirecTV until 9 am (channel 503).

Morning Beautiful!  Had some trouble sleeping so I am up early trying to catch up on the board.  Had a good day yesterday.  Soccer was canceled so the girlies & I slept in, hit the mall for some fun browsing with some of my syblings & my mom.  Took the girlies for new hair cuts & then home for a relaxing evening.

On the books for today is a church service.  My grandma's church has a new prayer/resting bench & garden that they have built in her honor.  The dedication is today so quite a bit of my family will be attending.  I can't believe it has been almost two years since she passed.  I still miss her so much.  Afterwards we will be doing a cookout with hubbys family.  His brother is in town as I mentioned & his sister, her family & all of us will be getting together to spend some time together.  It should be lots of fun.

Yes, yesterday was very very wet! I felt like a drowned rat! I had to take Connor to Alexandria to spend the weekend with his au pair - and the 95 was very dangerous. I could not believe the people hurtling down at 80 miles an hour when visibility was so bad...... crazy!

Then I had to go and choose my outfit from Dress Barn for the fashion show part of the Bariatric event at  Bariatric Potomac Hospital on the 21st if this month..... it should be lots of fun - email me if you need details - I have some leaflets about it for my support group on Wednesday.... It is $10 if you call to register or $15 on the day so really cheap.

Then at night I had a really nice dinner with a friend of mine....

So today shopping is on my list then I go and collect Connor tonight......

Oh gosh I'm glad ya'll are safe. There were some accidents and at least 3 fatalities during the weather yesterday. Prayers there for sure. Hope you had fun shopping and dinner sounded great. Have fun shopping today and say hi to Connor for us. Hugs.....

Good morning!  We are going to the races today and we ae very excited.  It's both our first time to see NASCAR live.  WOOHOO!  :)  GOOOOOO Tony Stewart!  :)  (flame on people, flame on...HA HA)

I wish we had DirecTV to be able to catch that documentary.  A co-worker sent home a documentary for us to watch on extremist Islam's, I'm hoping to watch it when we get home so I can give it back to him tomorrow.  He is my go to guy for great political discussions.  He said it is a must see to fully understand why he is such a backer to the war and such.  He came back to us about 3 months ago after being over in Iraq for a year and a half.

Enjoy the races! They tend to have some decent shows on here WHEN I watch TV. I've just finished cleaning up the yard/cutting the grass and we're in the newly moved around gazebo (the buggas & I) enjoying some nature time. They are enjoying TIME OUT lol! What a shame there are all these toys and the swingset and they choose to be snots! Anyhow, enjoy! Hugs...

You know, I love gazebo's.  You always mention enjoying yours so much.  I hope we can add one to our yard one day.  :)

Saturday was nice and relaxing. I cleaned and cooked a bit and just spent some good quality time with Alex. Latter in the day my parents came over for dinner and visited. It was a nice rainy day, just to bad my hubby had to work 10-7 so did not see much of him.
Today I am getting ready to head to Richmond to see my sister and help her pack. She is getting ready to move into a new apartment next Sunday and has not started packing yet. After that we will probably grab something to eat and then head back home and get bath for Alex and read a couple of books before heading to school again tomorrow. Hope everyone enjoys the nice day.
