Just 2 Days to go

Hey Everyone,

I have been flying under the radar for the past 5 days or so.  Been getting on and reading what's going on with everyone, but just laying low prepping myself for the surgery.  I can't believe its only 2 days away.  This time on Friday I should be out of surgery and recovering.  Its crazy.  I am the type of person who is always cautious.  I don't believe its actually happening until it does.  I keep telling myself everything is ok, they ran all the tests and nothing is going to stop the surgery.  I am so worried that Dr. Mo will get in there and see something that makes him stop and I will have gone through all this only to wake up and find out they didn't do the surgery.   My husband keeps assuring me everything is fine and I know he is right.  Just that nagging voice in my head.

But there is no turning back now, I drank that gross pre-op drink and have my clear liquids and jello all ready to go.  Pray that I don't make life miserable for my poor husband the next two days while he lives with a monster who can't eat anything!!!!  Bless my mom, she is coming tomorrow night and taking him out to dinner so I don't have to smell the food and he can get a break and have someone to talk to before the surgery.

Thanks for all your encouragement and support, I am so excited and can't wait to join you all on the losers bench!!!!!

Don't worry about a thing. You're in great hands, and everything will go just fine. He is VERY unlikely to get in there and then decide, "whoops, made a mistake". Most surgeries are planned to be about 1.5 - 2 hours long, and mine took almost 4, because he got in there and found something he didn't like (if memory serves, I think my liver was still way fatty) and then proceeded to take all the time he needed to get things done the way they were supposed to be done. He's a careful, thorough surgeon, but you didn't need me to tell you that, or you wouldn't have chosen him!

Best of luck, we'll all be waiting for you!
