Join us at the Autumn Conservation Festival this fall, and enjoy an unforgettable day of fun, tours, and activities at the National Zoo’s Conservation and Research Center (CRC) in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Talk with our world-famous scientists one-on-one and learn about their fascinating research that spans the globe. Scientists will also be on hand to help you explore the tools and technology they use to understand animals and their environments. Staff will offer visitors behind-the-scenes looks at some of the CRC’s endangered animals, including inside the bird house and veterinary hospital.

This family-friendly science festival offers you a chance to get a better look at this extraordinary reserve with a scavenger hunt. Other activities include a play, live music, and cavalry maneuvers. Lunch and beverages, as well as Zoo-themed merchandise, will be available for purchase.

Here’s the link so that you may obtain driving directions & other information. This really is a family-friendly excursion & well worth the time.

I hope to see some of you there!! I’ll be easy to spot…I’ll be the one sitting beside a white a-frame tent, knitting something! LOL

This sounds like so much fun!  Unfortunately we already have plans this weekend - we will be in DC for our anniversary (Oct 4th).  Have a great time!
