WELCOME TO TUESDAY YA'LL!!
How are ya'll doing? Hope everyone is doing just fine. How was your Labor Day? Ours was certainly fun and nature was our living room. The buggas and I got out and about early. Dad & I cut the grass while the buggas & friends played and it was nice & cool outside. We cleaned the yard up and got things looking real nice. Toys-R-Us exploded in the yard basically.
I took some time for myself while the kids went next door and I sat in the gazebo and was journaling some and talking with some great connections. I am reminded of some things in this journey that for the better part of August I'd forgone to take care of everyone else. But, its a new month now, new day and I'm ready to move forward and get back to taking care of me so I can keep taking care of others.
My body got tired, weak, legs got achy, body was telling me all kinds of things and in the last week I finally listened to it and saw my doc and am getting back to working on the important things and working my way out of the muck. I'm looking forward to so much and I need to have a body that matches!!
What's on the books for your Tuesday? Its a big day in these parts! Kayla's going into 2nd grade today. The neighbor's little guy is starting Kindergarten and my youngest nephew is going into Kindergarten too. Exciting times! My sis is nervous for him as is my neighbor Rachel. I feel like a pro (that is until its Nora's turn lol). I am so excited for all of them! Kayla is ready to go. I just have to wake her up and get her moving. Funny how a kid will sleep through bombs (me callling their name, its time to get up for school) but when its the weekend its and they are up at the crack of dawn!
Going to get in our walk this am (Nora & I). She & I are really going to enjoy it. We'll wait for the bus to grab Kayla then we'll hit the pavement shortly following. A nice, long, scenice walk is JUST what the doctor ordered! Going to get some work done and really get things on the books scheduling wise so that we can incorporate all the school activities and appointments and such. Working on the painting of the house (girls room is top honors today).
Hope EVERYONE has the best Tuesday they can! Hugs and all that jazz.

Thankful for the easy, grateful for the hard & hopeful for tomorrow.
I am so hoping that Kayla has an awesome first day of 2nd grade. You must be so proud yet saddened to see her growing up. It is exactly how I feel. Cameron is starting 3rd grade and it seems like just yesterday, I was in that 19 1/2 hr labor, lol. I want to cry at the thought that he's growing up and soon won't be needing me but I am so proud of the little man he is turning into. He couldn't go to sleep last night, nervous and scared.
Today, I plan to nap while he's in school. But first, I am going to hit the gym. I have made a resolution to go every morning after the school bus leaves. No excuses. I will be up and at least, mostly dressed so I can just head out, get it done with and then come home. Then after dinner, we will be doing our evening walk. After the gym, I have to clean. Lord... Dust is everywhere. Then there is laundry and trying to organize my pantry.
Hope you have a great day with Nora until Kayla comes home and hope she would have had a great day at school. I will definitely be getting back to you regarding the post & the email & I do apologize for letting it slip my mind!
Hugs!!!
I'm up early every am to get myself acclimated with the day. It helps with planning and things going along smoothly. Ah, glad you got my email and look forward to reading a response to both that and the post.
Actually I'm extremely proud of Kayla and not sad what so ever. In fact, I'm incredibly happy and excited for her as she loves school. I love how she's come so far in her life and has overcome some serious challenges especcially developmentally. Its GREAT to see her doing so well and my fears/concerns have lessened. This year is the start of so many great opportunities for her and I'm encouraged by many things. Kayla couldn't get to sleep at first but then I assured her that today is going to be an exciting day and she'd want to rest well so that she could join her friends and make this and each school day great.
Nora and I are gearing up for our walk after I respond to a couple posts then we're back here to work on a couple things and get their room prepped for painting and then we're going to get laundry on the clothesline (bed sheets & the like) and get the house cleaned up as well. When Kayla gets home it'll be catching up on her day, an afternoon snack and couple blocks walk (sans the stroller) and then play time for the buggas, dinner then going over her folder and such from school.
Again, I'm looking forward to your replies.

I am dragging today. Not really wanting to get up and go to work at all. But I did have a wonderful weekend. My trip to Skyline drive seemed like a special gift. Taking a trip there, hiking to the falls, was something I always wanted to do as a teen for my bday, but a bit hard to do when you have a November bday. It was so much fun. Being able to relax and chill with Matt's family, enjoy nature, spend some quality time with my hubby was just fabulous. We did head out to visit with my daddy yesterday. That was pretty cool too. I love have some quality time with him when no one else is around. We made a pit stop on the way home for ice cream with my sis & her family so I got to bug my niece & Amber and that was pretty cool. The only damper on my weekend, I got a nice speeding ticket yesterday. Not good, but hoping I can fight it a bit.
Not sure how the plans with work out for today. Work of course, a run to the grocery store is needed, we need to get the girlies tonight, laundry & some cleaning is definitely in order. We shall see what all gets done. Hope you have a great one! Love you much!!
Wasn't it gorgeous yesterday? We've just gotten back from our walk and I made good time! 2 miles in just about 45ish minutes. :) Nora was totally bummed this am tears and all about Kayla going to school and her not going (yet but I'm working on something) so it was a little drama island here.
Sounds like the weekend was great for you/ya'll and I LOVE Skyline Drive and will be taking a trip there a few times this Fall. Glad time with your Dad was great too along with the ice cream and other family. Oh gosh sorry to hear about the speeding ticket.
Hope you have a good day and enjoy this pm as well. Love you!

Saturday was nice. I went to helpmy momgo grocery shopping for my sister's house then put them all away and visited with the baby for a few hours. I dropped Kara and Adam off at the movies then came home and did some laundry and chores and relaxed a bit. Went to the store then met a great friend for a couple cuppas and had some great convos. Picked K and A up then off to work we all went.
Sunday was awesome. My mom, dad, Steve and I went to Williamsburg to the outlet mall and shopped all day. We went to dinner then got home about 10ish. Steve and I laid down for an hour before work then back at it again.
Monday was a great day,too....until I got sick! Steve, Kara and I went to do the billing and got some more shopping done while in Ashland and hit the mall at Va Center Commons while we were out. We picked Adam up then headed to the dreaded Short Pump Towne Center. We walked around, grabbed some dinner and did a lot of window shopping. I was not feeling well but pushed myself through. When we got home I was feeling horrible...aches, fever, vommitting and all that great stuff so I helped Kara pack her book bag and off to bed I went...at 7:30 PM! I NEVER go to bed that early!
So now it is on to Tuesday and I have gotten Kara off to school...her first day of 8th grade and her last year at middle school. I surprised her with a cuppa from Starbucks and she LOVED that! I still feel like crap and nothing bu****er is staying down but I am here at work anyway. Hoping to make it through the entire day.
Hope everyone has a fabulous Tuesday and all the kiddos going back to school have a grand day.
Let me know how Kayla does today. I know she is super excited!
Love you much,

Life could not get any better than this!
Anytime darlin'! That's what I'm here for. :)
Sounds like the weekend was eventful for you as well. Sorry you aren't feeling your best. I was like that Sunday too. It was definitely a combination of things. But, I finally forced myself to rest and it was much needed. Achy legs, cranky head, crabby apples tummy so I stuck to liquids and soft foods. The buggas were on neb treatments which I'm thankful have helped tremendously. I learned some interesting information about the med they take to help them with allergies/asthma in that a side effect is marked congestion and so I'm calling the ped's office today and talking it out to see since both tend to get this way often.
I hope you get to feeling better today for sure. That's so kewl you surprised Kara with a cuppa! I bet she was stoked! I got pictures of the buggas and Kayla walked to the bus stop by herself and she was there with some friends. There were more parents at the bus stop then kids!!! I asked her if she wanted me to come with her and she said "no." So, we waited in the yard. Nora had a meltdown and she came back in the house for a bit so she could calm down then she came back out, we watched K get on the bus then waved as it came around the corner. I'll let you know!
Love you!

I went to my "little sister" (volunteer as a big sister in bigbro/bigsis of Richmond) 11th birthday party on Saturday. I bought her some back to school clothes since her family could not afford them. You should have seen the look on her face. She was so excited to have new clothes to start the school year off in. She has been my little sister for 3 years now. I feel more like an adopted mom to her. She is off to middle school this year. She is taking all honors classes and I am so proud of her.
Sunday my sister came over and we took Alex to Chuckie Cheeses. We had a blast! They ate pizza and I got a small salad. I ate it and did not get sick!! I was so excited.
Monday we went to my moms house for a picnic and out on the boat for a ride. Alex got to relax and fish before his "big day" going back to school today. Then it was off to bingo for me to relax with a friend last night. I really needed that. Didn't win, but still had a great time!
This morning got up and got Alex ready for 1st day of 1st grade. Made him pancakes and sausage and dropped him off at school. I came home and turned the tv on to channel 6. It said be the 6th caller and win. So I called and won! WOO HOO! Have no clue what I won though. LOL. I was just so excited that I won that I did not hear what it was. Its 2 tickets to something. LOL.
Hope everyone has a great day! It is so beautiful outside today!

Hi Kit Kat,
Hope that school began on a good note. On my way to work, saw many children waiting for the bus. Years ago, I taught special ed..and remember the first day of school. Very exciting for students and teachers, alike.
Today was a great day!!! Work went well and felt like I was on top of things. The only thing holding me back is the pain in my knees. In six weeks, I will acquire a new knee which will alleviate the pain.
Had a nice dinner of a chef salad at one of my favorite places.
The weather has been nice,,cool at night. Love sleeping with the windows open.
Peace to you...Cindy
