Daily Inspiration - Be kind to your body
Be kind to your body.
When you hit a plateau, it's easy to become frustrated. You want your body to keep losing. You may contemplate extreme measures. But you need to let your body "catch its breath," so to speak. Think of it like pouring water from a pitcher into a funnel. You eventually want to empty the whole pitcher, but every once in awhile you need to pause and let the funnel drain. That plateau gives your organs and your skin and your soul a chance to adjust to the change.
And give yourself a chance, too. Do you recognize that face in the mirror? More than just your body is changing. Your mind is absorbing the change, too. Breathe deeply. Take time out to celebrate your progress, and know it will continue in your body's own time.
Action for the day: Think of plateaus as time your body and mind need to adjust to the big changes you are going through. For today, be kind with your body and love it through its changes.
