I need serious help, guys. Please.

at portsmouth they want you smoke free for 6 months and they a strict on that sorry to break the news for you on that one.  Hun if this is really want you want you are going to have to make yourself stop.  Its only going to make your life better that should be enough in itself to stop.  I know its not that easy i use to smoke and it was hard.  But to move on and better your life its best if you stop you will also heal better if you arent smoking
good luck hun.  If its food you need to eat to stop smoking you may have to turn to that as much as i hate to say it but soon you wont be able to eat.  Get out and do things meet me everyday and walk I will walk with you.  Call me I will give you my number if you want when you feel like having one.  It s got to happen or they wont do the surgery

Dorie, I will probably definitely take you up on that offer for a phone buddy if you don't think it'll be a total pain in the butt. LOL. Oh and I can't eat my ciggies away because the dr. also told me that  if I gain 1 single pound, he will not do surgery. Grrrrrr at him. I hope I'm not on my period when I have to weigh in. That's an extra 10 lbs. slapped right on.

Jamie I too used the patch and have been smokefree since 2000 and it was hard it took me 3 trys. But my fiance used what they call SMOKEAWAY its @ Walmart its a pills you take @ bedtime and you drink lots of water to flush the nicotine out of the system he quit w/ these and has been smokefree for 2 yrs now there back in the pharmacy are you might try them. I quit smoking 1 year before my surgery as part of my preparation (not a requirement by my doc).  I was researching the surgery and figured that if I really wanted it, I wanted the best results I could get (I seem to do that with surgeries). 

Anyways...if you really want this, you must quit smoking.  Didn't they tell you this prior to where you are in the process?  I would have thought that if they wanted you to be smoke free for 6 months then they would have told you up front to give you some time to become smoke free.  Especially since you can use the Navy's quit smoking program for free, but you need to register for it.
