I'm two weeks out after my RNY and I've pretty much stalled at 225. I started at 250 and was 238 when I got to the hospital for my surgery and have steadily worked my way down to 225...and have stayed there for the past four days.
Any suggestions? Has anybody else stalled this close to surgery?
Any and all help is much appreciated

Yes, all of us go through this. Sometimes, I will go 2 weeks with no loss and then suddenly I'll have a 3-5 pound loss. Just keep doing what you are suppose to do...water, protein, and exercise. It will come for sure.

Good luck, Penny

This is completely normal.  Your body has gone thru a huge change and is taking a break trying to figure out what is going on.  You may be losing inches still w/o the actual pounds.  You will begin losing again soon if you continue your basics.  Remember...water+protein+vitamins+exercise=weightloss!

As the others have said, stay the course...don't get discouraged.  It seems the times when there is no weight loss, there are inches disappearing.  Make sure you take some time to measure yourself, because you will be pleasantly surprised many times over as you go through this journey.  :)

Genevieve - this is all very natural but you will drive yourself crazy if you weigh in every day - we nearly all do it and we nearly all have experienced the same fear.  So put your scales away for a few days at a time and you will become less stressed.....

You WILL lose more if you are doing everything right I promise - your body is just taking stock of what you have put it through .......

Try to relax a little and enjoy the ride! Exercise and eat protein and sip sip sip and you will lose more soon!
