Just thought that I would say Hi! I am new here and I am from SW VA. I am currently weighing in at 395 and I am 5'11" . I have my first consultation on 8-20-08 and I am hoping that this all goes well. I have been thinking about having this lapband done for awhile and now I have decided to get it done! I am not doing this for me but for my 15 month old son because he deserves to have a mother that can get down and play with him and do things with him without getting out of breath and without getting out of energy. Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the VA Board. I had RNY in 2005 started @ 410 5'3. Good luck w/ your journey and we are here for you and If I were you read all the profiles you can before your date to educate yourself on all that is out there for you. Make yourself a list of questions for your appointment. And there are many here who are armed w/ lots of information who will share Im sure, keep us posted.
