Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is sponsoring it’s 3rd Annual ASMBS "Walk from Obesity" at Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax. This local event is part of a national program to raise awareness of the life-threatening disease of Obesity.  Obesity related illness accounts for nearly 400,000 deaths a year. Proceeds benefit the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery for Education, Research & Prevention.  Registration is $25.00. Hey sweet Brooke. I wanted to let you know that I will be walking in the one in Suffolk . It would be closer for you to go if travel was an issue for you . Here is the information on this area walk. Let me know if you are interested and we could drive in together . I would love to meet you , and being I am moving back to the area  , ( Enon - Chester ) you could attend one of my meetings . Thanks for the info!  I just moved to this area last year and I am excited to be able to do something like this.  Do you know if I can push my 17 month old son in his stroller??

I don't think they care - all family members are welcome so you can walk with a stroller etc.  I usually do the one at Fair Oaks but am away on business....... So I will need to find another walk this year...

I don't think there would be a problem.  This walk is inside the mall and the only requirement I am aware of is to be done by 9:30am as the mall opens at 10:00am. To be sure, you should call the number I listed for questions 703-391-3783.
