Find an honest friend.

You're bound to stumble every once and awhile. Everyone does. What people often need at those times is someone who will help nudge them back on track. This support person must be gentle, loving, and, perhaps more importantly, truthful.

Maybe you know someone who is always honest. Someone who can say, if need be, "I'm worried about you. I think your choice is hurting you." In other words, someone who is not afraid to challenge you, but who will not undermine you. Someone who can help you, but not enable you. Trust this person to pull you back to reality during times of difficulty.

Action for the day: Think of one person in your life, whether it's a family member, a friend, or even a colleague, who can help you stay on track by being honest with you. Resolve to ask that person to confront you when you push your limits.

This is a good message.  I have found that person in my husband but have also been fortunate to have found that person in a wonderful friend.  I am grateful for the support that I have.
