THANK GOODNESS IT'S FRIDAY YA'LL!!
Good am,
How are ya'll doing? Wonderful I hope. How was your Thursday? Well, mine started off pretty well and ended the same but in between I was running around trying to get so much accomplished that I kinda needed to take things slower and do just a few things at a time instead of 20. Anyhow, all is not lost, got a lot accomplished, worked on my To Do List, tweaked it, added to it and took away some things that I'd been wanting to focus on but in reality they are NOT mine to focus on really. Its good to recognize when you've taken on things that just are not your responsibility and you can pass them along.
Now for the highlight of my Thursday (sarcastically speaking)!!! Everyone knows I love bees and they love me back. Well, the buggas and neighbor friends were playing out back and they all come screaming. While let me tell ya'll who WE got to meet last pm. Yeah, I'm REALLY stoked about this one. Have a looksie! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_hornet Can I just say these are amazing looking, noisy and creepy. It was stinging a June Bug repeatedly and the kids were freaking out about "how kewl" it is while I'm standing there telling Dad we need ammunition. I'm NOT kidding ya'll it was HUGE. Previous to this I've been stung THREE times; 2 times twice and 1 time once just this summer. Trust me when I say these things we're tracking down. Although the stings aren't any worse than that of some other bees but lets be serious people just the LOOK of this thing is not really exciting to me. Anyhoo, I'm not into killing God's creations so and yes this is kinda dorky we sprayed it with WD-40 (please laugh we did) so it was just fly away and it did. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee
What's on the books for your Friday and weekend?? For us, today will be errands, chores, cutting the grass, working on yard stuff, getting painting around the house plans underway, possibly getting together with some friends, maybe some swimming and hopefully lots of sunshine and smiles.
Hope everyone has the BEST Friday and weekend they can!
Hugs and love and all that jazz!!!

Does laundry ever end? I feel like it has taken over my life..LOL
I washed all the coats in my coat closet. Hubby decided it was a good idea to put his combat military uniform boots in the closet. Then he has been putting his dirty gym bag there too. Thankfully he takes his dirties out and puts them in the hamper.
Last night I met up with Susan T and Lisa S for a support group meeting on plastics at Portsmouth Naval Med Center. Then we went to Ruby Tuesdays and shared some yummy appetizers (the advocado swiss quesidilla was soooo good!)
Came home went to bed and tossed and turned all night. DUH..I forgot to take my sleeptime meds.
Getting a haircut today. The inlaws are coming for a visit and I'm making a broccoli slaw for dinner along with burgers/turkey burgers on the grill.
Sunday I'll be meeting locals for lunch.
Gosh, I need a nap already!
Enjoy this beautiful day.

Jen...nope, laundry NEVER ends...lol. I average two loads per day plus one or two days a week it is more! And I haven't even started on the coat closet or the bedding for the week, either!
I noticed you are making a broccoli slaw...care to share the recipe? It sounds yummy!
Hope you have a good visit with the inlaws (it would just about kill me to visit with mine!)
A haircut...hmmm...I am deciding on what to do with mine right now. I don't know if I want to get it cut or let it grow back out so right now it is very blah! We will see at some point. Right now I am seeing how long I can go with my bangs before they get on my nerves! Tell Leo that Steve and I said hello.
Love you,
Tam

Of course I'll share my recipe for the slaw. It's from my m-i-l and I heart her dearly.
2 pkgs of broccoli slaw mix
1 c lowfat mayo
3 packets of splenda
2 Tbs of cider or white vinegar
1 small red onion chopped
1/2 c dried cranberries
4 slices of bacon cooked and crumbled
1/2 c toasted pecans or your fav nut
stir together the mayo, Splenda and vinegar in large bowl. Add slaw mix, onion, bacon and cranberrries toss well to coat. chill at least 2 hours. Top with nuts if desired before serving.
yield about 8 servings for "normal' people double that for the rest of us!
Hope enjoyed your birthday. Leo sends his best to you and Steve.

Well, at least you have something IN your coat closet. I have no coats. I'm gonna be the Little Matchstick Girl come winter,
I was off at 1 pm yesterday and all day today (YAY!). So I was able to start back to the gym yesterday afternoon (well a couple of days early!) and did strength training. Hit the wall just shy of completing my normal routine (everything was minus 10% weight for the 6 week absence). Sooooo,,,,this a.m. I got myself going early enough to make the 9 a.m. cardio class I usually take Mon & Wed evening. Half way through I was really pooped so did the "low" options for a while then I actually finished the class! It's really hard to get back into the exercise groove once you've been out of it for so long.
Tomorrow I'm working the Hampton Street Fest with my sorority (serving beer for tips that will go to MS Society) and Sunday is late lunch with the WE's.
All in all, a real good weekend!
Hope for the same for others!

Hey Jen!!
I can honestly say that at my house laundry NEVER ends!!! NEVER EVER!!
Must agree that last night was wonderful. Really enjoyed the trip to PNH with you and Lisa and particularly enjoyed our time at Ruby Tuesday's. Chatting and laughing with new friends is GREAT!! Hope we get many more chances to do so. Wish I could come along on Sunday but we are having family time. The eldest son and I are busy all Saturday morning preparing to play in the church orchestra (Russ Taff will be singing at our church both services Sunday morning) and then Sunday, we will be at church. Hubby wants some "family time" so I'll be with them having fun Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Today is going good so far. Getting ready to grill beef kabobs and shrimp for dinner. YUM!!! Having baked potatoes along with them. The fam is also having french bread with olive oil and spices. I will be skipping that... Don't need those carbs!
Hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!!

Hey Susan,
Glad ya'll enjoyed dinner. Neat that our local group is gonna come together at Ruby Tuesday's as well this month. Looking forward to it. Just need to pin down the date & time. Family time is WONDERFUL! I'm outdoors with the buggas and we're really enjoying this beautiful Saturday.

A day late with my replying but laundry is always going on here. I'm doing major washing like that as well. Going through things seeing what we want/don't want/need/don't need and its a good thing. I love the feeling of accomplishment.
Glad the support group meeting and dinner following was nice. :) Hope the haircut went well and you dig it and enjoy lunch with the WE's on Sunday.

Good morning, beautiful. Thursday was good. Work went really, really well. I found out my new client will be having an onsite tour and meet and greet next Tuesday (ugh! that means I have to wear a dress!) and we will be having a lunch meeting so that should be fun. I got home usual time yesterday and my dad took us out to Red Lobster (one of my fav's) for dinner. We had a great time laughing and talking. It was just Steve, dad and I which was nice for a change. We came home and chilled on the patio and listened to...what else??? Yep, BK'sD! It was awesome and I loved the lazy, vegg out time. My dad even likes the cd's!
Today is another beautiful day. I ran six miles this morning and did some laundry before coming to work. Kara and I have an appointment to get our nails done tonight (wanna join us, Kat?) after work and then I plan on finishing the laundry and cleaning so I can relax this weekend. No sure plans for tomorrow yet but it will most likely include some time at either Water Country or Busch Gardens (or both) and then Sunday is a family cookout at my uncles house. I have mixed emotions about going (Kat...we have discussed why) and am trying to keep a positive vibe about it but I am nervous and scared. Say a few prayers that it all goes well if ya can. Let me know if you have some free time this weekend and we'll get together, either with or without the buggas. BTW...what a cool find in your yard....just glad it didn't sting ya!
Love you much,
Tam
