Some good news...hopefully

Goodness!  Where to begin?

1. Thanks to our own Melissa, Mike may be on track towards a new job!  It would mean a drop in pay, but hey...a job is a job is a job, right?  Thank you so very much, Melissa, for stepping up to the plate.  I've got all my fingers & toes crossed that something is worked out!

2.  I had a chat with the office manager at my dentist office today about them not being forthcoming about where my doctor is moving to.  Something about it being in her contract not to say.  Well, I assured her that my doc stuck to her contractual requirement but I also pointed out that I have no such contract & as a consumer, I should have every right to choose for myself who my doctor will be & that they should stop withholding this information.  Well, I just got a call back from her a few minutes ago.  I now know where I will be going for future appointments!  Hey Courtney...it will be in Manassas Park so maybe we can start getting together for lunches???

3.  On the way home from the dentist, I began wracking my brain as to how I, personally, could help bring in added income.  I had a    moment!  Stick to what I know, right?  I want to TEACH knitting, crocheting, & loom knitting.  My next problem was WHERE could I do this without having to give up most of my profit?  Answer...Bumblebee Cottage, where I took the girls for our tea party.  I spoke to Billie, the owner, this afternoon & she never even hesitated...she said ABSOLUTELY!!!  So the plan is I will charge $25 for a two hour class, per person.  I'll keep the $20 & Billie will get the $5 per student.  Her tea room is the perfect setting...it has embiance, comfort, & the students can order tea of their choice (hot or cold) & even finger foods if they so choose, not to mention novelty gift items available in her shop AND it's a full-size nursery.  So I could be bringing in added business for her as well.  All around a win-win situation for us both!!  Hmmm...I just had another thought...maybe she would agree to sell my homemade stuff too.  I could crochet tablecloths, knit scarves, tea cozys, etc.  That would mean I get to sit on my butt when I need to & still make money!

4.  As if all this wasn't enough good news, Billie also put Matt onto a possible job not a mile from our house!!  So he's off, as I write this, to speak to the owner of that place.

Many of you have been asking how I've been feeling lately.  Well, even if I'm not feeling better pysically, I'm certainly feeling better mentally!  That can only HELP the physical part, right?

Now comes the fun part that ya'll can help me with.  I need a name for my new "business".  Matt came up with "Tied Up In Knots", which is cute, but I'd be interested to see what ya'll might come up with too.  Keep in mind knitting, crocheting, yarn.  So let your creative juices flow.

So glad to see things are going better for you. I need to learn to crochet, I am not crafty though. lol

Oh come on, Brooke...if I can teach a lefty how to crochet, I can certainly teach you!  Of course it would be quite the drive for you to attend a class but who knows.  Maybe some of you far-away gals could come for a weekend, stay in a cheap motel & I could hold a class on a Saturday.  Something to think about for sure.

At the very least, I could teach you how to use a knifty knitter...you'd be churning out scarves & hats like a champ!!!  I promise!!

What a delight it is to see this post this pm. :) Good news about a job for Mike, good for you fussing about your dentist, what a WONDERFUL opportunity for yourself to make fundage and help othersk, CONGRATS to Matt on a job and I hope & pray your health is restored ASAP. CUTE NAME btw!

Matt just got back from Wayside Inn...he didn't get to meet with the lady that runs the place yet, but he did fill out the application & he was told he'd hear something early next week.  One can only hope, right?

Oh, Ann. That is wonderful!!  I love my PM. He is great.  He asked me for a hard copy and soft copy of his resume.  He has integrity and is very open and honest.  I adore him to peices and enjoy working with him. I will keep him in my prayers that he will find something that will work for him!!

I am so happy you got the information about your Dentist. That is great.  But, I am sad, just Courtney on the guest list?  I work in Manassas.  : )

The job oppurtinity is wonderful.  Look at our own little enterpuner!!!  That sounds so lovely.
