Can anyone give me the list of medicines we cannot take after gastric bypass
Just playing with you....we both know its probably, in one way or another, my fault that the list was misplaced!
Love ya and hope someone can find their own list so we can get it laminated and stapled to all our medical folders!

**The below medicines are specifically from my surgeon's Patient Handbook and are by no means me indicating what someone should/shoud not take. I strongly suggest contacting your surgeon's office**
DO NOT take these medications before discussing with your Bariatric Surgeon
1. Non-Steroidal Medications:
Aspirin (Anacin, Alka-Seltzer, Excedrin, Bufferin, Ecotrin
Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil)
Naproxen (Aleve, Naproxyn)
Diclofenac (Voltaren)
Indomethacin (Indocin)
Diflunisal (Dolobid)
Ketoprofen (Orudis)
Salsalate (Amigesic, Trilisate)
Sulindac (Clinoril)
Celecoxib (Celebrex)
Meloxicam (Mobic)
Etodolac (Lodine)
Nabumetone (Relafen)
Tolmetin (Tolectin)
Ketorolac (Toradol)
Oxaprozin (Daypro)
Piroxicam (Feldene)
2. Steroid Medications (Oral)
Prednisone
Dexamethasone (Decadron)
Methylprednisolone (Medrol)
Cortisone
Hydrocortisone (Hydrocodone, Cortef)
Buesonide (Entocort EC)
Betamethasone (Celestone)
Inhaled and topical agents are OK: Advair, Flonase, Nasocort, Azmacort, Flovent, Topicort (hydrocortisone cream), Kenalog (triamcinolone cream), clobetasol cream
3. Bihosphate oral medications for osteoporosis
Alendronate (Fosamax)
Risedroante (Actonel)
Ibandroante (Boniva)
Etidronate (Didronel)
Tiludronate (Skelid)
Alternative: Miacalcin nasal spray 200 IU/inhalation - once daily
