Promotion at work!!!!!

I remember reading that post and thinking how brave you were for doing that!  I know I am worth more...and now I have it!  I got a big raise when I got the first promotion/transfer and now another one.  This is something I never thought was possible.  I have definately noticed an upward trend since surgery and I am not ready to come down from this ride yet!  Thanks.

Congrats that it great and you should be proud of yourself. Whether it is before or after surgery does not really matter it is your brains that they are looking at. This is my oinpion only. Take it and run and keep up the good work.

Thanks so much!  I want to believe that they do not look at obese people diferently but it is hard knowing I have the same qualifications now as I did then and I certaintly applied my butt off before and was called for a lot of interviews and never got them.  Funny thing is one of the managers that did not hire me years ago sees me everyday now and doesn't even recognize me!  He sees what I do and I have heard him comment on how good of a job I do.  If he only knew.......

I'm so incredibly happy for you! Now we HAVE to grab a cuppa this pm and celebrate! (Or when you have a chance weeee!!!) I know you are very capable and a hard worker and will do the job justice and then some. Chin up beautiful good things are happening all around us!

Things are getting better and better all the time!  I get off at 5 and am free anyrtime after that if you are up for a cuppa.  Just let me know!  I am really excited.

Thank you so much!  I am very excited.  I know there were times over the years that I did not get transfers or promotions because of my weight and I also know that previous managers held me back because I was "too good to lose" but I am in a better place now and that is all that matters.  I have always been told that the best things come to those that wait and I have waited a long,long time for this!

Thanks, Tink!  I am really excited, too.  It just proves to me that I am worth the world and no one can take that from me.  It makes me feel extra good, especially since I already LOVE my new job.  I never thought something like this could/would happen so soon.  I can't wait for you to be home, too.  It will be great to see you more often.  Are you going back to Colonial Heights?

Thanks, Dawn.  I am really excited and happy to be so highly thought of.  I am not really in a new position, just servicing a new group as my primary.  They have always been my secondary group.  I am feeling more and more confident as the day goes on!
