The only one I really like is EAS advantage shakes. It is a pre-made drink, but not quite as expensive. At Wal-Mart, they are $5 for 4 drinks. Good Luck.

I get my protein powder from Sams.  They have a huge bag for like 13 dollars.  It comes in Vanilla and Chocolate.   I've only tasted the vanilla though.

I am a nectar girl. They are expensive, you can find it at the vitamin shoppe.  I would buy samples first though.  You can go through vitaminlady.com or I even heard if you email syntrax (the maker) they will send you 3 samples for free.  I personally love kiwi strawberry.  Nectar is not thick and if you like fruity drinks, they are fruity.

Hi Melissa,   I have tried over the weekend to get the nectar protein into me.   I thought yesterday I was doing great, just as soon as I had finished pretty much the strawberry kiwi, I had severe stomach cramps and diarrhea.   It happened last week when I tried it then too.    I don't think these are working neither.    I have a container of the New Whey that I have never finished and was wondering if anyone has ever warmed their milk and added the powder to it?   If this doesn't work, I am going to try 1 more bullet----and take 1/2 of it rather than trying to get ALL of it in a days time.   I begin school next week and I need to have my stuff together!   I will be 5 months post op on the 18th of this month, WOW has time gone by quickly.   I have as of this morning now lost 60 lbs!!!!   I don't know where my body is going to stop at with the losing.    I am not sure exactly "where" I want to be at 5'1 and 47 yrs of age.    My doc had mentioned 122, but I am not so sure I want to get that low.    I have now gone from a size 20/22 top to a large(some mediums) and my pants 18-20 to 10's and some 8's.   It is wonderful to feel so good and healthy!!!!   I have another 24 or so lose.    I have no regrets and now feel like I could become a PA myself with the knowledge and advertising!!!! lol    Wherever I go, people ask me "how am I losing", and it is no longer the "omg" I can't believe you did this(surgery).  It has become, this is incrediable and I want to do it too.......so now in my county(everyone knows everyone and their business lol), they are all heading to Va for the same surgery.   I am so happy to be able to share so much with all of them, but most of all for all to live happier, healthier lives.   Thank you for allowing me to ramble here.   If anyone could tell me whether they have mixed the protein powder into warm milk, I would appreciate feedback please.    Thanks so much and keep up the great success!!

I am so sorry the Nectar didn't work for you. At least you bought the samples instead of buying th containers!!  The reaction you are getting is very bizarre. I am wondering if you are allergic to something or whey sensitive.  I know when I did my two week preop diet I was put on OptiFast.  I was have a severe reaction to the shakes.  My Nut thought I might be lacto intolorent.  But nope, I handle the lactose just fine after surgery.  So who knows, I know something in it was making me very ill though.

Congrats on your weight loss!!  That s wonderful!  I am also a PR person and I make it a focus to embrace me.  Where I came from and where I am going!!

Thank you, Melissa.     I thought also that I may be lactose intolerant, but NOPE.    Just really odd!!!   I also found out that "cheerios" any type cause MAJOR reflux or "something" to happen.   I first experienced it back in June, I ate about a dozen pieces and within an hour or so, went to bed.   I fell asleep but only to awaken to "choking" and a nasty burning in my throat.   I hurried and go****er, it stopped.    I stayed away from cheerios until last week, when I bought the multigrain ones and did a few again.   This time the burning wasn't as bad, but it made me get up from a deep sleep and immediately drink to either absorb this or pu**** all down one.    I am not going to do cheerios for a long time and if and "when" I might try again, I will during the day to see if reaction.     It definitely scared me with that.
I am going to mix 1/2 of a bullet this morning and try it again.   Maybe by not being the entire tube, I will be able to get it in.    I am glad the nectar works great for you.     Thanks again........

I drink the nectar when I am out of other stuff, but it is not my favorite.  You had asked about any whey...well it is the only one that I know of that holds its nutrients when it is heated.  I have cooked with it but never added it to milk just to drink.  Have you tried unflavored unjury?  It is tasteless and can be added to bunches of stuff.  I add it to yogurt, pudding, applesauce, etc.  They also make protein soups that are great!

Vitamin Shoppe has a good return policy so if you have bought some from there they will take them back.  I personally loved the Isopure Zero Carb Dutch Chocolate powder.  Mixed with milk & drank away.  Samples are a great way to go, you can order lots of different ones online, find what you like then start getting the bigger tubs.  Hope you find something that works.
