Good am,

How are ya'll doing? Great I hope. How was your Thursday? Mine/ours was jam packed and then some. Got laundry and chores done (several times over), got to the grocery store EARLY in the am and back home in time for the buggas to wake up and be hungry, got a lot of work done on my To Do List, had a nice lunch, went to get a mani/pedi (had gift certs) and then we chopped our locks off! The strangest thing happened yesterday afternoon *I* took a nap! I suppose to most people that's "normal" but I don't "nap" much less sleep more than 4-5 hours at a time if that. So, I was a bit shocked by it. Anyhow, I was up tossing and turning for most of the night last night and even dreamnt and quite vividly.

What's on the books for your Friday & weekend?
I'm up later than normal this am so I feel "rushed" in many ways. Got some things to take care of today, To Do List items to get done and then this pm I'm meeting up with friends for dinner & music. So needing this and so looking foward to it! Saturday is hopefully gonna send us a nice thunderstorm as we could really use the rain. I'm going to get as much done outside as I can before then and then spend the rest of the time hanging inside working MORE. Sunday is going to be what the Lord made it for REST (so I say NOW LOL).

I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Friday & weekend! My thoughts & prayers are with MANY as there are still many of us struggling tremendously. There IS light at the end of the tunnel and its NOT a freight train but friends, fam & God with open arms.

Hugs & love and all that jazz!

You, a nap!? Wow! Good for you...allowing  your body to do what it needed. :-)

This weekend is going to be a busy one. On top of the homework that seems neverending, tonight I'm going to a Nationals game. Then tomorrow Nino is coming over to help me get some chores done then we're going to another Nationals game. Sunday will hopefully be a relaxing day (besides the homework!!)...maybe even hit the pool for the first time this summer! Work has been busy this week and next week will be about the same since my main boss has been out and will be out most of next week.

Hope you and the buggas have a great weekend....

Christina

Morning Beautiful!!!!!  So glad your day was good.  A little nap sounds good too.  My Thursday was marvelous!!!!  Me and a couple of the ladies I work with went & got our pedis & had my nails done.  I did not make it to the gym cause I forgot my tennis shoes.  One of the ladies & I headed out to dinner & then I came home, put my pj's on, climbed in the bed with a good book.  Slept okay.

Not too much going on this weekend but it is getting busier.  Tonight will be the gym and then home.  Tomorrow I plan to sleep in, hit the pool with a friend, then not sure about the evening.  Sunday is a bday party for one of my nephews & then my hubby & I are going bowling with some friends.  We shall see what else happens.

I am officially counting down.  2 more weeks til vacation at the beach!!!!  Have a great day & weekend.  Love you much!!!!

I depend on my afternoon naps! Although I sleep alot less than I did when I was obese, I still need a siesta (guess that's why I like South America so much!) Vivid dreams certainly can keep one from having a restful nights sleep. I take Seroquel just for that reason.

Today my 'baby' boy Doug 17, comes home from his dad's in NJ. YAY!! I miss hearing him play his guitar and eating me out of house and home. I too am going to hear my friends band, Hotcakes, play at the Beach.  Tomorrow I'm going to the Artisans in the Park Craft fair at Great Neck Park.

Prayers going up for many of you and yours here in our Virginia family.
Enjoy your weekend, whatever that may bring.

Good am, beautiful.
A nap yesterday may have been nice...but for some reason I had way too much energy!  Steve was really tired so I let him nap.  I started dinner when I got home, put a load of laundry in and then decided to give all of the dogs a bath!  They hated it, but took it pretty well considering.  I was done in 25 minutes (three dogs) and still had 40 minutes before dinner was going to be ready, so I cut the grass!  I know...I shouldn't have been doing these things on our anniversary but I had energy that I had to use up so that I could sleep some last night and Steve needed to rest some before dinner.  He woke up when I was almost done with the grass and I had time to grab a quick shower.  We ate dinner and had some SF cake to celebrate.  We sat outside for a bit and enjoyed the evening, talked with our neighbors for a while, played on the internet together then went to watch Hopkins as we fell asleep.  It was a wonderful and relaxing evening.
On the books for today is a lot of excitement.  It's work till 5 then home to get showered and changed.  Maybe a trip to the mall...we will have to wait and see how time goes.  Then it is dinner and going out with wonderful friends that I wouldn't trade for anything to celebrate our aniversary.  Then we will be going to work.
Tomorrow is shopping...since it is the tax free weekend. We have plans to go to the Williamsburg Prime Outlets and hit up a few of those stores then to Busch Gardens in the evening for an 8 PM concert.  Steve and I have seen Charlie Daniel's Band within one week of our anniversary every year that we have been together.  They usually play at Innsbrook Afterhours but have moved to BG this year.  Kara and Adam will be riding rides while we enjoy the show then the four of us will go to work together.
Most of Sunday will hopefully be spent resting.  I am sure I will have some shopping to complete, a trip to the grocery store, a little work, and more laundry (it never ends!!!) but I am hoping to grab a couple of hours of "me" time.  I really need it.  If it is pretty maybe a trip to the park for some nature time and exercise!
See you soon!

Morning, Katters. I just worked some OT yesterday, got home around 7, ate dinner with Sveg, watched some TV and passed out around 10.

Came in at 6:30, gonna leave here in a few minutes to go to the Dentist. Love it! Not. I have a feeling another 3 hour chair session is in store. I just pray that the miracle lax's don't start working while I'm in the chair, that would be MY luck right now. Hahahaha!

I'm looking forward to my meeting tonight and hanging with my J Crew. I need a meeting bad and it will take me out of myself. I'm actually doing pretty good today. I'm letting go at the moment, just ask Track.  Hahaha!

Have a blast tonight, say hello to the group for me, and its time for me to go brush my teeth!

LYLT,
A

You're not kidding, thank God it's Friday!!!  Oy...the day (& night) I had yesterday!!  Spent most of the day & half the night in the ER with Matt...had to take him there TWICE!!!  He's been complaining of nose pain for several days.  I just thought maybe his new glasses were too tight across the bridge of his nose.  But when he woke up yesterday his nose was swollen, & he was complaining of eye & jaw pain on the left side.  That sent alarms off in my medic's head.  Turns out he has a skin infection called folliculitis...never heard of it before but apparently it can get quite nasty & painful if left untreated.  So a few hours later we walk out with Rx for TWO different antibiotics.  Ya'll may recall my mentioning that we'd had an 8-hour power outage a couple of weeks ago?  Well, Tuesday night we discovered that even though we didn't open the fridges or freezer, all the food in the big freezer was ROTTEN!!  OMG!!  Rotted chicken is just the nastiest smell.  So Matt was a sweetheart & went out & completely emptied the freezer, cleaned it all out & then headed off to the dump to get rid of the noxious stuff.  He got about 2 miles from the house when he began to tremble all over & got very dizzy...the spinning kind.  He managed to pull into a parking lot & called Nino.  So off we go to get him.  I called the ER back, thinking maybe he's having an allergic reaction to one of the antibiotics.  I mean he really looked bad.  So I chat with the same doc that he saw in the AM & he says bring him back immediately.  So off we go again.  We really didn't have to wait all that long to be seen.  Long story short (yeah, I know...it's ALREADY long), because of the infection being so bad it was affecting his inner ear as well.  He was suffering from vertigo!  They gave him a wonder drug & within a few minutes he was fine!  Not before doing a CAT scan though & some blood work.  I am happy to report that my son does, indeed, have a brain!!  I thought the doc was gonna pee his pants from laughing though when I pointed out to him, as we were all looking at photos of Matt's brain, that it's not as big as it appears...most of that was the bubble wrap that his brain is encased in!!  Final outcome...as of this morning, he is feeling much better & certainly LOOKS much better too.

I, on the other hand, have YET to get any sleep.  I was soooo uptight about yesterday's events that I just couldn't sleep.  I decided to work on the wedding flowers.  My creative juices were flowing & I worked through the night, not even realizing the time ticking away.  If you would like to see the outcome of my all-nighter, here's the invite to see the photos:

My bride & groom-to-be are coming over this evening to take custody of my handiwork.  I sure hope she likes what I did, although I really hate the ribbons on the tower.  I never have been very good at making bows.  But I will know tonight whether or not she likes what I did.  Now that I have the prototypes, making the rest of them will be a breeze!

As for what's on the books for today?  I have no idea!  Too pooped to worry about it...lol.  Maybe I'll just do some knitting in front of the telly till I fall asleep.  Mike's off to the farm as of last night & won't be back till Sunday.  Nino's going to Christina's for the weekend, so looks like it's just  gonna be me, Matt & the dogs.  Maybe we'll go out for Mexican tonight...dont't think either one of us feels much like cooking anyway.

I hope everybody has a fun, safe, enjoyable weekend.  For those of our ohana that are still ailing, get well wishes go out to you all!!  Love you lots!!!

Hugs!
Ann

Not to worry, Lovie...I'm fine.  Just pooped out from the all-nighter.  But I'm so glad I did it cuz SHE LOVED IT ALL!!!!  I am so tickled.  Now she's talking about setting up a charge account for me so I can just go get what I need without spending out of my own pocket to be reimbursed later.  I like that idea!

Matt is doing very well.  He's had several doses of the antibiotics & already is improving.  So it's all good.

YOU are the one that needs to stop stressing!  LOL  That job of yours...wow!  Just relax & do what you can do.  The world wont' stop revolving because if you dont' get it done by noon on Monday!  You BETTER find some YOU time this weekend.

Big hugs to you, B & the kids!!!

Hugs!

So I finally got to check out the pictures.  I couldn't view them at work. Umm, we need to talk about my wedding. I would love to use your services!!  They are beautiful! Don't over do yourself.  I guess I am very concearned about you with your heart.  Being there and knowing about you condition, I worry about you.

I am glad Matt is improving.  I am so sorry he has had to go through that.  It must have been very painful.  Having serious eye infections and viral menigitis, I know how painful and infection in the face or head area can be.  Did they ever say where he got the infection from?

Oh work goes through these stressful times.  You know how govement contracts work.  The work is never done.  It is not a nine to five.  After I reveiwed the file, it should not take to long for me to finish the pricing. I gathered all the information I needed to do it. And the PM sent me good informtion and a lot that I have to work with.  I just hate pricing, because I fear I will mess up and I am just learned how to do it the past week.  Just sometimes I wish I could escape somewhere over the rainbow in a quite peaceful town called Middletown.
