Update on me.

Thanks Cleo!!  I am doing really well so far and got one drain removed today...yipppppeeeee!! So excited about that.

Great to hear from you! Unfortunately, some folks in ours lives decide things need to be more about them then others and they become people we don't even understand. I'm sorry this happened but its not about her. Its being an understanding supportive friend even if she disagrees; make your point/argument and move on. In any event, I'm glad to hear you're doing well and I hope your appointment goes VERY well tomorrow. Drains are not fun!

Wow, you are so right!!!  I am doing just that.  My hubby was so mad at her that when she called when we were on the way home he acted like the phone call was breaking up it was too funny.  He did not want her to talk to me until I was strong enough to stand my ground.  

Moving forward...went to Dr. K today and he removed one drain yippppeeee 3 more to go.  I go back next week so we're hoping they can all be removed then.  That would be so awesome.  The appointment was great.  He said I am doing fantastic.  We went to the hospital cafeteria today and I actually ran into his nurse...lol.   Neither she nor I knew who the other was...lol.   She said I looked so good she would never of guessed that I had surgery one week ago.   Dr K. removed the stitches in my belly button.  I can't wait to get a gander when I take my shower tomorrow.

Oh Anna!  I am so sorry you had to experience what you did with your friend.  Bravo for you sticking up for what you believe is right for you!  And that is not always easy.  I am glad you are home and resting.  I am glad everything with the surgery went well!  I am so excited for you and can not wait for you to share those pictures.

Thanks for the mostly great update. The most important thing is YOU and your recovery. Unfortunately, friends come and go and the outcome is usually for the better. I don't like it myself, but I've come to accept it. I had no choice when it came to my recovery, which was different then surgery, getting better was more important than anything. Sorry to hear it didn't work, but it sounds like you made all the right decisions and said what you needed to say, that's HER loss.

Thanks Amber, I am doing so much better now.  Still getting pampered by hubby who took the week off.  He has even been cleaning the house...yay!!!  I had a post op today and got the stitches out of my belly button and got one drain removed...wooohoooo!!

Glad to hear you are doing good. Don't you just love it when the husband is doing everything. I can't wait to see you. I won't be at the meeting Monday..too tired. I'm sorry about your friend. After talking to her on the phone, I wish I had said more to her. This was not a time to be fussing at you....no matter her opinion. She reminded me of one of my sisters.

No problem Penny, I am so over it now...lol.  Just concentrating on getting better now.  I appreciate you talking to her at all.   I doubt I'll be at the meeting either, just depends on how I feel since I will be starting back to work Monday.
