to me, this is what it looks like...

"Sunday we all slept in and then just hung ou****ching movies. Had dinner and then surprised him with a cake (made by Matt!) and my homemade chocolate ice cream. Yummy! He opened his presents and then I needed to get home. My Marvin was waiting for me at the door like normal.....meowing "where the heck have you been and why am I alone?" Can't win them all over I guess. :-) "

I know what you were trying to write, but I guess I have some editor on, hahaha!

Hey Katters!

Guten Morgan. My weekend was half busy, half lazy.

Friday we celebrated Clemson's 2 year soberversary with a meeting & dinner. Saturday, I sold a couple dresses on Craigslist, sat in front of school for Fall Sign Ups for a couple hours, met with the old coordinator to talk about what's to come/do an equipment inventory, went to Sveg's friends BBQ, went to a meeting, and had dessert with friends. Sunday was the lazy day. I did the "treatment" that wasn't much worse than I already had done previously. It was a bit more progress, but nothing special. I spent the day between the bed and the bathroom. I feel a bit better today but I'm still looking forward to this week hoping that everything gets regulated, if not, I have an appointment with the Gastroenterologist on Wednesday next week.

Today, I'm working and trying to get some things done around the house while Beemer/Mom are still gone. I'm supposed to go to a meeting tonight, but I'm feeling pretty weak right now and I may need to go to bed early.

Hope you have a good day,
A

Hey Amb!

Sounds like it was a nice (ok sorta minus the pot issues) weekend for ya'll. Something you mentioned recently really hit home bout how things get "funky" at this stage in the sobriety journey. Ya I get some of that and am gonna message you (elsewhere) bout a few things in a bit. Interestingly enough the RIGHT folks did and said all the RIGHT things this weekend. Never realized just how much the dynamic of my support system works so well. Some people just DONT give up and I got told a LOT this weekend "get used to it" and I'm trying.

Hope you get everything accomplished that you wanna.

BIG hugs....

Hi Kat,

My weekend was busy. I had to go to Ocean City for the weekend - which was nice for a break but way too much driving to be comfortable with - and then we left my son there with his grandma, aunt and uncle and all of his cousins who are vacationing there from Chcago! I was sad leaving him but a typical 4 year old -  couldn't get rid of me fast enough because his aunt had promised him ice cream every day. We will meet them next Saturday at some point to collect him and bring him home..... I miss him already and have talked with him this morning but he was ready to go to the beach and have a ball!  He loves the ocean! We are all due to go back there for a week on the 9th August and I can't wait!! A whole week of relaxing - I hope!  All depends on whether my company strikes or not on August 2nd.... if they are on strike everyone will have a good time except me!! I won't be able to go! So I am hoping that does not happen...

Apart from that, today is very filled with work and meetings! I am so busy it is not funnny - still have not recovered from being off last week and so much work to still catch up on..sigh

Awww Jackie sounds like you are soooo busy don't forget to take care of YOU! I'm sure you are missing Connor but its awesome to let our kids party down with others giving ourselves a break too. (I'm TRYING to be more open to this) Hope that V doesn't strike I know its a pain. My uncle is a lineman and he's pretty positive they are gonna. :( I really hope you get in a relaxing week the week of the 9th. I'd LOVE a whole week but don't see that happening at ALL this year. Is ok things will come together for sure.

Love ya!
