I am new here and am going to have weight loss surgery (I am pretty sure RNY) sometime within the next 6 months. I have been thinking about it for a long time but finally have come to the "last house on the block" and am going to do it. :~)

I have been to a seminar, seen my PCP and made appointments with the dietician, so I am on my way!

Biographical info - I am 39, have a husband and am a stay at home mom to 3 little kids (5, 2 and 2) and live in Va. Beach. I am 267 lbs and 5'5". Gulp...

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself!

Welcome to the board. I know it took me 5 years to make my decision to have surgery. I always felt I could do it on my own. It is a big decision and a life changing one. One I am glad everyday I made! Do your research on all your options DS, VSG, RNY, Lapband. Make the decision that is right for you and yourself. I have three little ones too. they are 8, 7, and 5. There are many ladies in the VAB area!
