AHHH. First day at the gym....

I felt really good to get out there.  The first thing I did was get on the treadmill.  I walked for 30 minutes a little over a mile at 2.9mph (?)  It was a great speed for me.  I was able to get into a great groove.  I really enjoyed my time on the treadmill.  They had real nice ones with TVs on there, a place to plug in your iPod and contol it on the screen and to put a flash drive to record you information.  I then tried the bike, could not get into it, and felt uncofortable.  Then tried the elipitcal, could not get into that one. It was to hard on my knees.  I did some upper body work with the weights.  Very lightly.  I am going to go back and do the treadmill again and then do some work on my legs.  I came home and did about 10 minutes of my bellydancing video and decided I was done for the day.  I am drinking my protien drink now and will make some dinner in a few.  All I know it after the gym, I was hungery!!

Good job Girlie!  I am sooooo envious of you.  My stupid heart still won't let me work out the way I'd like to.  I know I spout off about hating organized exercise, but there are SOME things I like to do, such as my dancing.  Some days my body just ain't into it, ya know?  Just think, each work out gets you closer & closer to looking phat in that dress!!!

Hugs!
Ann

Oh, Ann!  I am sorry. I do understand and I can remember how I felt after my diagnosis.  I took a long time before I could do anything.  You are a wonderful dancer!!  I printed out the picture of the dress and hung it on my stickyboard at work.  So I look at it when I need inspiration. LOL

Well done Melissa!!  You went out there and did it and it will all help you tone and lose more weight! I can't wait to go back agaain but with my inner thigh surgery and my arm graft it may be a few more weeks yet before the doctor will release me to exercise.... but one I am back I will be back with a vengeance! And also taking belly dancer lessons!
