Hello and welcome!!!  I had my RNY a little over 3 years ago and used Commonwealth Surgeons at St. Marys, Dr. Hutcher.  My cousin and my aunt have both had revisions and all of our surgeons were the same one, Dr. Hutcher.  I will be happy to help any way that I can!

Thank you very much for replying Tammy, I know him he spoke at the seminar I went too on Wed. I am very much considering it my fiance does not want me too do it again. He is very much against it and I'm having a problem coviencing him. I want too know how did your aunt and  cousin do afterwards with the second one did the have complications or was it all smooth sailing for them? I also want too know about the acess skin from loosing so much weight. I did not have a problem before and I think about that alot as well because they say it is considerated cosmetic too have it removed. My most important question Tammy is did your aunt and cousin loose alot the second time around or just a little and how long was it from the first time till the last time when  they had it like i said it has been 8 years for me.

I can't help with your revision questions but wanted to say Hi & Welcome.  If you are interested in trying to do it on your own, my suggestion is go back to the basics.  Little or no carbs, lots of protein, fruits & veggies, exercise, water, protein shakes.  Give it a try and see what you can do.  You have the tool & it might not be broken, if you go back to working it then it may surprise you.  Fitday.com has a great calorie counter/food log you could use to track your calories each day & help you see where the tough areas are.  Good luck & we are here for you.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back with ya.  I am usually MIA on the weekends...you kow...out having fun with my family and friends!  Dr. Hutcher is awesome and  is great at revisions, too.  My cousin had a tremendous weight loss (over 300 lbs) the second time around.  He had lost 150 the first time then gained it and some back.  He flucuates between 220 and 250 now and is 25 + years out.  He has had all of his plastics done, some of that twice, too.  His first PS did not do a very good job and he had really bad scarring.  He went last year and had a lot redone and looks great now and is doing wonderful.
My Aunt did great the first time.  She lost over 300 lbs as well and gained it all back and then some over 12 years.  After her revision she suffered from pancreatitis and was hospitilazed.  She is really set in her ways and refused to give up soda and sweets.  She lost about 50-60lbs and that's it.  She sabatoged her self in my opinion!  If you have any other questions, please let me know..PM, E Mail, or on here.

Hello Tammy I'm glad you got back with me I work 12 hours days. I had been looking too hear from you like a child you can say. lol I called the Dr.s office  yesterday and they are going to schedule me for an EDG. I'm not sure how long it will take but hopefully not too long. The other half is against it but i'm talking too him hes so afraid of somthing happening I told him not too think like that. Like i said i'm at about 250 now last i weighed might be a little more now not much. I only want too lose about 50 too 60 lbs. The smallest I  got too was 216 and i figure 20 more then that want be too much. I did not have a lot  of loose skin thats a fear I was having as well. The insurance co. not paying for skin removable because its considerted  (*cosmectic)missed spelled. lol   I know a couple friends who had it done and my God. the skin its terrible. I don't want too look like that. And their insurance is not going too cover any more because it not life treating.I look at your pictures and you look like modle material can't believe  you were overweight at one time and look like that. I went too the Gnc store yesterday I was going too buy me some protien mix and see if i could jump start myself. If  you have a plan diet one that is  lol share it with me and i will work on that until i hear something from the Drs office. What i'm considering is a protien shake in the morning with a piece of fruit. one for luch with some type of veggie or apple sauce. and for dinner eating a healthy choice or lean cusine  what do you or anyone elese reading this think?

I replied to your other post on what I think of the meal plan.  I just personally think you will still be hungry and that starts a vicious cycle!  Some insurance companies will pay for plastics...if you have problems stemming from it (I work for an insurance company).  Thank you for your compliment.  I have lost a total of 257 pounds.  I have skin that needs removing and I will get it done eventually but honestly I am not unhappy with it right now.  I am just happy to have my life back and be able to do things with my family again!  Are you in the Richmond area?  We could meet sometime if you are interested.  Just let me know!
