WELCOME TO THURSDAY YA'LL!
Good am,
How are ya'll doing? Good I hope. How was your half way day? Ever have a set of weeks when things just are plumb crazy, emotional and tarded all at the same time? Yep, that would be this last one and a little more. Things are changing which rawks so I'm just ridin' along prayin' and hopin' its sooner than later.
Did I ever tell ya'll how much music is a healer and brings out so much in me?? So, that's been a strong focus. Then there's my wonderful support system which I could stand to lean on a little more (stubborn or something like that). I've been turning to all the things I know best when things have been tough and avoiding all the things that do me the worst. Ain't it grand how Life changes ya?
I got a lot accomplished and kept to myself which was most needed. Got in some convos with a couple people I've been missing, buckled down for what we hoped would be a pouring thunderstorm but we got much of nothing. The buggas watched The Spiderwick Chronicles while I got in my Ghost Hunters International and we were all out like a light around 10 pm.
What's on the books for your Thursday? I'm up, moving around and quiet. Things will change as the day progresses I'm sure. Working hard on chores and things around the house to get them done between now & Sat am so that I can have a weekend off from it (which doesn't REALLY happen). I am going to catch up on a couple projects as well. Otherwise, just plugging along really.

Good morning, beautiful! Yeppers, I have had several weeks like that. Glad to hear that yours seems to be moving forward a bit. Yesterday when I left work the skies were looking pretty harrowing, so I rushed to Petsmart to buy dog food then to Costco to get gas and a few things we were out of (milk for one...it's so much cheaper there!) and then to Wal-Mart for something else. I was rushing like a mad woman trying to beat the storm that wasn't. Just a few rain drops here and there...very dissapointing and it messed up my evening plans for a romantic walk with Steve. Oh well, there is always tonight.
On the books for today is much of the usual. When I leave work at 6 (gotta love that OT) I am going to "collect" Steve and Kara (and probably Adam, too) and we are going to a friends house. He lives right behind the Innsbrook Pavillion so we can hear and see the concerts for free. Trace Adkins is there tonight, so I am ready for some musical therapy. Other than that, no big plans. I have another book with me here at the office to start on. The last three were pretty good. This is my last one. Got any suggesstions as to what the next batch should contain?

Morning beautiful!!!!! Sounds like some of those changes you are making are starting to settle into better things. Sometiems the process does take longer than we want and the waiting is so difficult. It is very uplifting when you start to see those changes doing good. As I have been working on how I deal with stress & things and my emotions it has been very difficult and I have had to remind myself not to revert to how I would normally handle things. As I am seeing how well the new things are working and how it makes things easier for me I am loving it. Keep pushing & working on it.
So my Wednesday was pretty good. Hubby & I decided to go out for dinner & then hit Walmart for some supplies for a family project we want to work on this weekend. As we were leaving the restaurant the girlies called to warn us about tornados in our area. We went ahead & hit Walmart, receiving a call from Anne about the storms, made our purchases quickly & then headed home. Another call from my sister with warnings. Apparently the tornado/storm hit hard in the area where a couple of my sisters & my mom live. Some downed trees, power out, inch of hail, & rearranged yards were the result but nothing serious. The bad part of the storm stayed on the opposite side of town from where I am so we just got some thunder, lightning, and heavy rain. Once we got home, I climbed in the bed, turned on a movie & vegged. It was a nice end of the day.
Today is work of course, will probably hit the gym, we get the girlies so it will be family time tonight. Hope you all have a great day! Love you much!!

Yesterday weather was a pain in the rear for me!
My neice and her fiance arrived in the US at 2pm in New Jersey and then they proceeded to book them and cancel them on a series of flights which ended up with us at one airport where they cancelled the plane on 5 mins notice and them STILL in Newark with no indication on what was happening next!
Just before 11pm they finally said they were going to put them on an aircraft the next day and put them up in a hotel. They then had them booked on the 9am flight today which they then proceeded to cancel and then cancelled the one after that. So now they are due to be here at 3.45pm - wish me luck that I will ever see them today!! Isn't it terrible? 8 hours to get here form the UK and they arrive 10 mins early and more than 24 hours to get from Newark, NJ to Washington on a one hour flight....

I was actually at that point last night but they said they had been told definately the next flight so by the time they cancelled that is was after 11pm. I told them this morning I would come and get them but they said their luggage was already sent and locked up at Reagan Airport and they have the only tickeys that will allow them to get it, so they may as well stay where they were and fly in otherwise it is a 8-10 hour round trip in the car for me - remember I just had inner thigh surgery a week ago ...... so not the most comfortable fo rme.....
I hate continental airlines because they always just cancel flights at the drop of a hat.....
I feel bad for them - not much fun being at an airport all this time.....
If they cancel this next flight I am going to call them and ask what they are playing at - the weather here is just fine today!
