Just getting started and I need help!
Hello,
My name is Bridgette and I have just begun looking into having the lap band procedure. I am in VA, but would be willing to look into MD or DC as well. If anyone can help recommend a good yet reasonably priced surgeon, I would be most grateful! Any and all advice would be most appreciated. Thank you all for everything!

Hi Bridgette and welcome to the VA Board! Most of us would recommend our own surgeons and in my case it is Drs Halmi and Tran. I love Dr Halmi and he has an excellent track record and the whole practice is geared up to helping everyone from before and after surgery care.

Hi Bridgette & welcome! I had my band placed a year ago & I can highly recommend Amir Moazzez at Fair Oaks Hospital (703-620-3211). He's very good & his staff is excellent. I can't say enough good things about him. Please call his office & get set up to attend his seminar...you'll be glad you did!

I had my Lap band in March of this year and I love Dr. Moazzez! He is very friendly and his staff is very helpful with the process. After my surgery , I didn't feel too hot and I called the office and Dr. Moazzez himself called me back to talk to me about what was going on.
Good luck with your Journey, check out his surgeon sight here on OH and you will be able to find out when he is having his next seminar, this will give you a chance to meet him and see what the proceedure is like.
