vitamin b12 question
I have read and been told about the negative and detrimental affects of a low vitamin b-12 but have never heard about any affects from high vitamin b-12.
Normal ranges of this vitamin are between 200-600 and according to my lab work, mine is over 2100. These results didn't come with the paperwork that were sent to me because she added that test the next day. The PA at my endocrinologist's office informed me of them today and was faxing the results to my surgeons office because I have an appointment next Friday. I did call the surgeon's office and leave a message but haven't received a call back.
Anyone know what that high level could mean? If it something that I need to be overly concerned or should I just be thankful that it isn't dangerously low? Any advice is always well taken and respected!

Just a quickie as I just got home - there is a no danger to having a high B12 and we should be aiming for a minimum of 1200 - anything above what we need just leaves the body in your urine. Mine is regulary at 1900 and I am not unhappy with that.. The levels for Virginia are really set too low at 200 - 600 beause we are in great danger from low levels.
So all you probably need to do it cut back a little on your B12 or leave it as it.... if you have a shot once a month I would leave it as is.

Oh my god Jackie! You do not need to be answering posts just as soon as you get home. You need to rest and take care of yourself. But...
Thank you sooooooooo much for replying. I admit that I was in a funk from worrying but will try calm down now after your answer. Thanks so much.
And congratulations on finally finishing the journey. You have done great. You are such an inspiration and I truly hope that I can be half as successful with my journey as you are with yours. Please take care of yourself. God bless you!
