All-
I just got a phone call from Ann to let me know, and to pass along to all of you, that Mike has come through with flying colors! They didn't have to do anything extra and what they found can be controlled by medication and diet. He is resting and a bit loopy, but should be fine once the drugs wear off. She is relieved and elated.

On that note....she is inviting us out to her place for a celebration picnic/BBQ on Sunday starting at 11:00am. Similar to the shin-dig we had over July 4th we'll be grilling. Bring your own meat, a side dish to share and any alcoholic beverages (if you want them). Private message her or me for more details and to get the address. Also RSVP, letting us know what dish you'd like to bring and how many will be joining you . I'm sure a super soaker war may ensue as well....so come prepared!

I'm so glad it was good news!  Please pass along my best to all of them.  As far as Sunday, I am afraid I am tied up all weekend.  Thanks for the invite, though!  :)

Hey Everybody!!!  First of all, Christina...thank you oh so much for being my Angel through this & keeping everybody informed.  You are soooo awesome!!  And to all of my friends here, thank you from all of us at the Scholl house for your prayers, get well wishes, etc.  Mike was very touched by it all.  He is doing great, although making me crazy!!!  Not 10 minutes after getting back to his room, & right after being told NOT TO MOVE HIS LEG, what does he do?  Moves his leg!!!  Darned men!!  But he's home now & spending time with his brother, Ben, who drove all the way up from GA just to suprise him!  The relief I feel is immeasurable, as you can imagine.  It was also a huge WAKE UP CALL.  I had a lot of time to think today & he's in for quite a few changes, which I've already informed him of.  I NEVER want to go through a scare like this again.  Anyway, I am just so glad to have you all in my life...you each helped me through a difficult time.  I just hope I give back as well as I recieve...I love you all very much!  Now, about the bbq...of course you are all invited but since it's such short notice, don't feel bad if you can't make it.  This isn't the end-of-summer bash I spoke of before...this is just celebrating Mike's terrific news.  I want to celebrate LIFE & who better to celebrate with than friends & family?  So, as Christina already said, if you can make it please RSVP either me or Christina so we can get a head-count.  Ok, time to check on my baby.

Hugs!
Ann

I am glad to hear that he is doing better! That's wonderful news!

I would have loved to come out on Sunday and spend my 30th birthday   with all of you wonderful people, but I'm afraid I'll have to pass, too. I'm going to spend the day with my mom, who was just admitted to a nursing home/rehab facility. (focus here on the "rehab" part, not the "nursing home" part)

If there's some kind of end of summer thing coming, I am definitely going to try and make that, and maybe even bring my sister with me. I haven't seen everyone since the OH conference in May.

Have fun!

Julie
