OK, found a place.  Is it a good place?  Is it near the beach?

I have not stayed here before, but I believe it is ocean front.  I usually stay at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort.  It looks like it could be a good place to stay.

It is across the street from the beach. There is contstruction of a new building going up across the street but there wasn't any noise.

Pack your flip flops and beach toys!

I am entirely too spoiled when I stay at the beach...I only stay ocean front.  I do not get to go enough to not FULLY enjoy meself when I go.  I LOVE to listen to the waves while I am falling asleep.  We would rather go off season and get good (better) rates than stay off of the ocean.  We drive down for the day quite frequently.

Right on!  I went last year on Labor Day for 4 days; stayed ocean front (just can't remember which hotel).  The weather was GORGEOUS and there were just enough people on the beach to enjoy people watching without being crowded and trampled on!  Best part - there was NO TRAFFIC through the dreaded Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel either going or returning home!
