Off topic - passing of Tony Snow (northern virginian)

Tonty snow passed away this morning.  He was a local (mount vernon) guy.  3 kids, nice wife.  Used to see them at swim meets, dance recitals, etc.  Always super.  (He was pres. bush's ex press secretary) among other political type jobs.  It has really struck me since i always have seem him around, he was only 53.  Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.  Lys

Like you, I have always thought he was a really nice guy.  I was so sorry to hear he passed -- what a loss.  My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children. 

Was sorry to here of his passing this morning its always so much harder on the family and friends left behind. I feel for them and those who where in direct contact like yourself. Prayers going up for the family and yourself Lys. Take care.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing - he left young kids and he was only 53  - not much older than me. Reminds us of our own mortality when people die so young....... Cancer is such an ugly disease...

It is going to be odd not seeing him around the area with his family or even the occasional performanceshe did for UCM's charity events with his band. I am a "Highway Girl" myself born and bred here in the area. Imagine it will be an intersting week around these parts, just hope the media doesn't clog the roads up and harass the family. He aged so much in the last year its sad that he was only 53 just a mere 10 yrs older than me,
