Knew I needed to take it easy today on food...

This morning Irma started off grumpy.  So I decided to take it easy on her today.  I pack 4oz cottage cheese for breakfast.  Babybell cheese for a snack (she LOVES this cheese, it makes Irma so happy) and a 4oz yogurt for lunch.  Basically back to full liquids.  About an hour after I had my yogurt, I was sitting in my Program Manager's office chatting about some money issues and BAM!!  I felt dizzy and nauseated.  I excused myself and went strait to the John.  Nothing was coming up and I heard the door open. GREAT!!!  Pulled myself together and I am drinking my second protien drink now.  Still queezy.  GRRR

Melissa, Just wanted you to know that I get this feeling if I do not drink enough water.  It is extremely easy for us to get dehydrated post op.  Are you getting in enough fluids?  I hope all works out and you feel better soon.   Tammy

I am getting my fluids.  But it is so weird, morning time I do feel dehydrated.  It is so frustrating.  What am I doing wrong?

Good am Melissa, For me its a fluids thing or lack there of. I get really nauseous when there is nothing in my pouch especially early in the am so I tend to sip pretty generously on the fluids all day. Hope you are feeling better darling! Hugs.........

Must have been in the planetary alignment yesterday.  I had an apple....normally I do not eat them because I have a tendency to eat them too fast...Jackie and Jeannie can voucher for what happens.  Anyways....I ventured into the waters yesterday and it got stuck.  Nothing I did got it down.  Had to get it up myself (UGH!). Then 3 hours later, i ate some lunch....up it came thanks to the apple from earlier.  UGH! I ended up with a protein shake for dinner (at 500pm) and then some coucous with turkey meat at 900pm (normally I don't eat that late, but I burned over 800 calories in class and had just gotten home). So...even at over 2 year out, Oscar still rules (that's Oscar...the Grouchy Pouch - haha).

Yep that is how I feel when I am dehydrated.  Now you were out at the picnic & such over the weekend, getting in enough liquids is good but I find that when I am out in the heat I need extra fluids.  I also get that feeling when I am exhausted & overtired.  Hope you are feeling better soon.

melissa - just wondering, can you get all 4oz into Irma? i'm still on 2oz for most meals (since I go to Dr. Halmi as well, i was just wondering).  drink up those protein drinks! lys

I was not doing to bad with 4oz on my cottage cheese and yogurt being slider foods.  The denser stuff it as 2-4 tbspn.  At least that was until yesterday, now 2 bites and I am done!  I don't even want to eat. Thanks!!
