hi dawn!  i am stafford as well!  i haven't had it done yet, i have my appt with the surgeon on the 20th of august!  keep talking on the boards, everyone here is great!  welcome!!!

Bumping an old post - hope no one minds...But I was noticing how many are from Stafford area and have had Dr. Halmi as their surgeon.

I live in Stafford too! (near Aquia)  I am scheduled for surgery with Drs. Halmi and Tran on September 2nd! 

I would love info about the Fredericksburg/Stafford Support group too.  I know there is also a group through VWLSC, but they are not having another one until August. 

Its nice to see the support here - I can't wait to be part of the "post-op" club :)

Welcome!!!  They are a great group!  Congrats on your upcoming surgery.  Our wonderful Jackie holds meeting in Fredericksburg.  It is by the Y off 17.  Here is her website www.obesityfreedom.com.  They hold meeting ever second Wednesday of the month.
